The children have enjoyed making gingerbread men at nursery today and decorating them. We have been listening to the story as part of our traditional tales theme. One of the children made theirs a sad gingerbread man "because the fox is going to eat him!" πŸ˜€

A big "Thank you" to the nursery children for bringing back their Smarties tubes filled with pennies for Pudsey Bear, so far we have raised just over Β£95πŸ˜€ we know a lot of you used your sweets to decorate cakes & biscuits at home & shared them with your family, well done!!

This term we have been reading Stick Man, the children have enjoyed collecting and exploring Autumn treasure which they have used to make their own Stick Men, the story has prompted lots of conversation about our families. We have also made our own edible stick men today. Yum yum.

The children were very excited to return to nursery today to find four butterflies had hatched from their cocoons over half term, and were ready to investigate our garden. We have now released three of them. Hopefully the last cocoon will hatch in the next few days.

As part of our Hungry Caterpillar topic the children have been watching the caterpillars grow and are patiently waiting for them to turn into cocoons. The children have also tasted the yummy fruit that the caterpillar ate πŸ“πŸ‰πŸŽπŸπŸŠ
