Waterhouses CE Primary Academy & Nursery

On Monday Years 1- 6 received a visit from the Saltmine Theatre Company, where they watched a production that explored the themes of Anti-Bullying, Positive Relationships, Mental Wellbeing.

Using puppetry, masks and music and accompanied by a dream-empowering workshop, the performance explored the effects and consequences of bullying, how to promote positive relationships and how to empower positive mental wellbeing.

After the performance KS2 took part in some practical workshops that explored the themes and how to deal with them in real life situations.

Last week our Year 6 children took part in a Staffordshire Goblin Car Race, a regional motorsport race for children aged 9 to 11 using electric kit cars—took place on June 4, 2026.
Hosted by the Greenpower Education Trust, the event gave school teams the opportunity to compete in sprint, slalom, and drag races.
