Year 1 have been immersing themselves in the world of Rapunzel by Bethan Woollvin. This week we joined in some drama activities, recreating scenes, events and character emotions from the traditional version of the tale. What a bunch of drama queens and kings!

What better way to start the new school year than getting out into nature? 🍃 Year 6 rolled up their sleeves today to investigate school micro-habitats and discover the mini-beasts living in our own backyard. Fantastic curiosity (and dirty knees) all around! 🐞🔍

🎪 Send in the clowns... or rather, send in our absolute rockstars of the Glebe summer The Hubb Foundation HAF session! 🪅

The circus rolled into town today, and let’s just say the children officially have a backup career plan. We had tiny humans balancing on tightropes like seasoned pros, spinning plates without breaking a single one (unlike me in my own kitchen), and juggling like total legends! 🤹‍♂️✨

When they weren't busy running away to join the big top, they were getting crafty with beads, shredding up the field in hockey, and scoring goals in football. ⚽🏒

We fuelled all that crazy high-flying energy with a delicious, well-deserved lunch to round out the day. Huge thank you to the fabulous Circus In A Box ASM Sports and our wonderful staff for facilitating!

Your community. Your voice. Your local academy. 💙

We’re looking for Community Council Members to join our Academy Community Councils.

Academy Community Councils are the local committees that help our academies provide the best opportunities for children and young people.
You don’t need to work in education or have governance experience.

We’re looking for people who care about their community, want young people to succeed and are happy to bring their own perspective to the table.

Training and support are provided.

💬 Want to know more before deciding? Book an informal 1-2-1 chat with our Governance Team. www.coopacademies.co.uk/governance

Year six have been on their travels today to Valentine Clays Ltd for an amazing guided tour. They learned all about the global reach of the clay that is created there and got to see some of the amazing pieces created. They then got busy making mini bottle kilns to take home as a leavers memento. A huge thank you, as always, to Valentine Clays Ltd for your warm hospitality and fantastic workshop.

The wait is over! We proudly present to you our charity song for this year 'You're the Voice'. Sang by our wonderful choir and accompanied by the rest of the school. They have put a lot of work into the song and their messages of hope.
The video is free to enjoy by all but please consider donating to War Child via our JustGiving link here to support this wonderful charity helping children living through conflict: https://www.justgiving.com/page/co-op-academy-glebe-song-for-peace?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=CL&utm_campaign=lc_frp_share_transaction_fundraiser_page_launched Child UK

🌟 Special Guest at Co-op Academy Glebe! 🌟

We were delighted to welcome Gareth Snell MP to our academy today!
He kicked off the visit with a fantastic assembly, giving our students an interesting insight into his role and what life is like as a Member of Parliament.

Afterward, he took the time to meet with two of our amazing junior leadership teams:

The School Council caught up with him to chat about careers in politics and what it takes to be a leader, whilst the Eco Team shared all the incredible green projects and hard work they’ve been up to around the school.

Thank you, Gareth Snell, for inspiring our pupils and taking the time to listen to the voices of our future leaders!
