Forest Park: Our pupils have made an excellent start to the new academic year and have already been busy enjoying a range of exciting learning experiences across the school!
Year 1 have settled in brilliantly, exploring their learning provision both independently and collaboratively. They have enjoyed learning new skills, including how to use iPads to upload work to their digital portfolios and how to use the outdoor gym equipment safely.
Year 3 have embraced the new school year with confidence, enthusiasm and positivity. They kicked off their Animals Including Humans topic with an exciting bone investigation, becoming real detectives as they examined clues, made predictions and worked together to identify mystery bones using their scientific skills. They are also enjoying learning to play the ocarina in music lessons and are already looking forward to performing Jingle Bells at our Songs Around the Tree event in December.
Meanwhile, Year 6 began September with an unforgettable three-day residential at Stanley Head Outdoor Education Centre. The children challenged themselves through activities including canoeing, orienteering, high ropes, bushcraft, archery and axe throwing, building confidence, resilience and teamwork along the way.
We are incredibly proud of all our children for the enthusiasm, determination and positive attitudes they have shown as they begin another exciting year of learning.
