Yesterday, a Standards and Quality Manager from the NAFD made an unannounced inspection. We had lengthy chats about our policies and procedures, alongside a full inspection of our premises and records here at Birch house, to ensure we comply with the NAFD Funeral Director Code of Practice.

We are pleased to share that we passed this inspection, and received praise for many of our systems and the facilities that we offer.

Over the festive period, our telephone line 01782 212880 remains open every day, 24-hours a day, as usual.

Our office opening hours are as follows:
Wednesday 24th December 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Thursday 25th – Sunday 28th December - office closed
Monday 29th December 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Tuesday 30th December 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Wednesday 31st December 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
Thursday 1st January - office closed

Our normal office hours (Mon-Fri 9 am-5 pm and Sat 9:30 am -12:30 pm) resume on Friday 2nd January 2026.
