Can you make some pumpkin soup? 🎃

The children at Preschool had the most fantastic time making their own pumpkin soup in our very autumnal tuff tray this week!!

The tray was filled with orange water & all of the items that our wonderful children have collected at home with their families, we loved the huge leaves, conkers, pinecones and sticks! Exploring how they felt, what they look like, and discussed the season of autumn 🍁🍂

Well done for all of your autumn learning this week preschool 🤍🐝

An Important Update About Our Social Media

Following recent updates to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework, we have reviewed our approach to sharing photographs of the children on our social media platforms.

As a result, we will be making some changes to the types of photographs we share moving forward. This means that, while we may share fewer photographs featuring individual children, we will still make sure you get plenty of insight into the wonderful learning, experiences and activities taking place across our settings. 💛

We know how lovely it is for parents and families to see what their little ones have been getting up to, and we will continue to celebrate their achievements, special moments and experiences wherever appropriate.

Our priority will always be ensuring that we follow the latest guidance while protecting the privacy, safety and wellbeing of every child in our care.

Can you make a house for your family to live in?

This week at preschool we have been focusing on "our family" The children were able to use the wooden blocks to build their house for their family to live in, they were so creative and we loved talking about the members in our family!

🐦🌿 Feeding our feathered friends! 🌿🐦

Today the children had so much fun making their very own bird feeders! They carefully created their feeders before we took them outside on the track and found the perfect places to hang them.

We can’t wait to keep checking them and see which birds come to visit!

Bee active fun 🐝🏅
This week during our bee active sports session, we focused on listening to instructions. The children drove around the garden in their cars (hoops) and had to listen and look at which colour sign was being held up: green for go, amber for slow down, and red for stop!🚦

We balanced bean bags on our heads and pretended they were pizza! 🍕

We also waddled like penguins, with the balls between our legs!🐧

We finished our session with some dancing to sleeping bunnies and parachute time!

We also had a little surprise, finding a frog in our garden, the children were absoloutely fascinated! We've never seen anything quite like it before!!🐸

🌟 Weekly roundup of all the fun we’ve had at preschool this week! 🌟

The children (and staff! 😆) have had the BEST week exploring lots of exciting sensory activities! We’ve enjoyed scented playdough, autumnal tuff trays, oat sensory play and even building houses for the Big Bad Wolf! 🐺🍂🏠

We also love our Tuesday Bee Active sports sessions with Dylan! 🐝⚽️ We always have so much fun getting active, learning new skills and having lots of laughs along the way! ❤️

Our super learners have also been working hard on their fine motor skills, taking part in activities that help strengthen those all-important muscles in their hands and fingers getting them ready for all the writing and mark-making to come! ✏️🐝❤️

What a lovely week we’ve had! 🥰

As part of our outdoor learning, we will have a new theme in the mud kitchen every week! This week was Gruffalo-themed, and it really got the children engaged and sparked their creativity. We had roasted fox, Gruffalo crumble, owl ice cream and scrambled snake! 🦊🍦🐍

The children recalled parts of the story whilst playing, which was lovely to see!
