🐹Spot the Dog and his friends will be coming to play at the Abbey Hulton Family Fun Day on Wednesday 19th August.
Head to the Stoke Thrive at Five tent for lots of Spot related activities for under 5s and their families. Children can wash the dog in soapy water to get him ready for a walk in the sunshine or try to spot Spot when he disappears, as well as listen to lovely stories.
Did you know Spot The Dog is one of Stoke libraries 25 Reads?
We will also have a baby area where you can comfortably sit and play with your babies and enjoy a story or meet our friendly Parent Connectors who can tell you what Thrive at Five has to offer in the community and what a Parent Connector can do to support you and your little ones to grow and develop .
We are looking forward to supporting the communities team and Stoke-on-Trent Best Start Family Hubs for a fabulous day of fun.
We hope to see you there 💚

🗨“She loved measuring cornflakes into cups, We'll do that one at home.” 🥣
📖“I’m excited to tell a sensory story to my kids”
“We’re learned how to make frog headbands and will try it by ourselves" 🐸
This is just some of the amazing feedback from 67 families, including 115 children, who attended Stoke Thrive at Five ‘Play and Read’ event at Bentilee Family Hub yesterday.
✨It was fantastic day with lots of activities including circus skills, archery, messy play, a chance to sit in a fire engine and even a visit from singing princesses and demon hunters!
We are thrilled that so many families brought children under 5 (as well as older kids) and spent lots of time at the Thrive at Five tent getting to know our Parent Connectors, enjoying baby sensory activities and getting involved at our ‘play and learn’ stations. 💚
Best of all, we are pleased to hear that so many families intend to try some of these activities at home. (Except the tightrope walking – please don’t try that one!).
