Looking for driving lessons from someone who has been trained to transfer the skills to learner drivers or better existing skills as a full license holder?
If you are paying for someone to do exactly that, make sure they have the below DVSA certificates displayed on the windscreen (usually bottom left).
If they don't have this, they can not teach for reward (take payment) and although private practice with family or friends can have benifits to building confidence and build on ability of skills, it is against the law to take money, if you do not have the certificates shown!
Driving Instructors are trained and assessed to ensure that they are not only teaching you how to pass a driving test, but to become independent safe drivers, with the skills to anticipate other road users actions! You will then be able to respond safely using the skills given (e.g. defensive driving techniques) to reduce the risk of harm to you, passengers, other road users, pedestrians and property!
Becoming a safe driver for life is a long term skill and commitment and personally feel the financial investment in the skills of being a safe driver will be rewarding for those who take road safety seriously!
