☀️Stanley Head Day One! ☀️
A very successful day! The children have all settled so well and the behaviour has been wonderful.
It has been a super busy morning, putting up our tents and exploring the site!
Group 1 had the opportunity to crate stack where lots of them overcome their fear of heights and worked as a team to get higher!
Group 2 did a range of team building exercises and challenge wall where they had to work together to get over
Group 3 had a go at rifle shooting and axe throwing where they impressed the instructors with their great aim!
We have just finished up the night with some lovely tea and a hot chocolate! ☕️

Northwood Athletics
On Friday, 40 pupils from years 3, 4, 5 and 6 got the chance to represent St Wilfrid’s in the annual Tunstall Town Athletics Tournament at a packed Northwood stadium. Competing against 8 other local schools, all the children had a fantastic day, showing amazing team spirit throughout the day, cheering each other on and celebrating success. We have some fantastic athletes at St Wilfrid’s and the determination on their faces and their sense of achievement was a joy to behold. They all did so well, winning many of the track and field events and showed a real unity and drive in the final events of the day, the relays.
St Wilfrid's finished the day in 3rd place overall we and now await to hear which of St Wilfrid’s athletes will progress to represent Tunstall at the City Finals next month.
We are really proud of you all!

Year 5/6 Art ✂️
Today, the children of Year 5/6 have been preparing their shadow puppets for some short films we will be making in our art. The children have loved the challenge of making their characters and exploring movement through different joins.
Their creativity and ex*****on has been wonderful to see!

🏖🍦Y1 New Brighton Beach Trip 🍦🏖 Our Year 1 children had a wonderful day at New Brighton Beach. We were very lucky with the weather and enjoyed lots of time playing on the sand before the rain arrived. Thankfully, we managed to avoid the downpour while eating our lunch!
A special treat was a visit to the ice cream parlour, where everyone enjoyed a delicious ice cream. The children were a credit to our school throughout the trip and were even complimented by members of the public on how well behaved they were.It was a fantastic day full of fun, laughter, and memorable experiences. Well done year 1, we are proud of you!
