From Libre fighting Netherlands

It seems that in the Netherlands when someone comes across Libre Fighting and the way we handle a blade…there is no way around: “why would you want to learn to stab someone?”
Well, to able to defend against those that do violence..one needs to understand the way it occurs. That means first of all, dropping the fancy defensive empty hand stuff and concentrate on the way attacks occur.
All practitioners have more than enough soft skills to work with if need be. But one needs hard skills if the need arises. In that light..one needs “a emergency tool” when everything that led to a specific confrontation has failed and no other option remains to stay alive. That’s when Libre comes into play. So yes, Libre is more about protecting lives than it is about taking lives.
