AcornsFest 2026
What a wonderful morning we had on Saturday to celebrate our school leavers' graduation! We enjoyed a variety of activities, including hook a duck, photo booths, glitter tattoos, rock painting, and a sing-along and dance with Paul the Music Man. We want to wish all our little ones the very best as they head off to their new adventures in Reception Class at school.
Please feel free to add your own photos of the morning in the comments below.

National Baby-Led Weaning Day π
Baby-led weaning gives children the opportunity to explore food independently, helping to build confidence, support fine motor development and encourage a positive relationship with food from the very start.
We know that every family's weaning journey is different. That's why we take time during the settling-in process to understand each family's preferences and chosen approach. Whether parents opt for baby-led weaning, purΓ©es or a combination of both, it's always led by parental choice, with our nursery teams there to provide support every step of the way.
Through close partnerships with families, we create positive mealtime experiences where children can safely explore a variety of tastes and textures at their own pace. As they do, they're developing independence, self-confidence and important skills that support their wider learning and development.

Today we had a visit from Chris who works at Zoolab and a few of his friends. The children from Peter Rabbits, Early Years and The Barn met Millie the cockroach, Violet the cornsnake, Gerry the gerbil and Atheeler the tarantula who was 20 years old!

Today our Jemima puddleduck children had a wonderful time exploring the sand in the tuff tray. They happily used their hands to feel the sand, moving it around and loved watching the sand spill back into the tray as they played.

The children in Peter Rabbit's today were listening to the story 'We're going on a bear hunt'. They followed the adventure by exploring a sensory tuft tray using various materials and gloop to bring the story to life.
