I’ve spent the last two days in Cork delivering Train-the-Trainer for epilepsy with Buccolam competencies...

Man! What a title!
AND what a group of professionals!

Their passion for learning, their drive to educate others, and their commitment to raising epilepsy awareness was inspiring.
In Ireland, around 1 in 100 people live with epilepsy, that's 45,000 people and education saves lives. By training others, we ripple that knowledge forward, because awareness matters not just here, but everywhere.

pH testing a nasogastric (NG) tube before feeding is crucial for ensuring the tube is correctly placed in the stomach, not the respiratory tract or esophagus. This prevents serious complications like aspiration pneumonia, ensures effective nutrient delivery, and enhances patient comfort. Gastric contents have a low pH (1.5 to 3.5), while respiratory secretions are higher (above 6), making pH testing a quick, reliable, and non-invasive method to confirm proper placement. This practice aligns with healthcare guidelines to promote patient safety and care quality.

Ever questioned where we are? Or where to go when you get here? Newstead Industrial Estate can be a bit of a maze. Our offices are right on the edge. We can see the Hem Heath and Aldi from our car park (and Ollie's kitchen is in touching distance!).

Once you have located our colourful sign, park in the car park by the front door to our building and head up the stairs inside the main entrance, and someone will greet you when you get to the top if not before.
