Sports Day Update
Due to the forecast of extreme weather, we have rescheduled our Sports Days to ensure all children can take part safely and comfortably.
New dates:
🏃 KS2 – Monday 6th July, 9:00–11:30am
🏃 EYFS & KS1 – Tuesday 7th July, 9:00–11:00am
Please remember to send children with a sun hat, water bottle, and sunscreen already applied.

🌞 School Disco Update 🌞
Due to the predicted heatwave, we’ve made the decision to move our school disco to keep everyone comfortable and safe.
The disco will now take place on Monday 29th June, with the same timings as planned:
🕔 5:00–6:00pm for FS & KS1
🕕 6:15–7:15pm for KS2
Thank you for your understanding — we’re really looking forward to seeing everyone there for a fun evening! 🎶💃🕺

Due to the forecasted heat wave, with temperatures expected to peak on Tuesday, we have made the decision to reschedule our Sports Day.
The health and safety of our children is always our top priority, and we want to ensure everyone can take part safely and comfortably.
As soon as a new date has been confirmed, we will let you know.

To help keep everyone cool in the warmer weather this week, children at St Mary’s Catholic Academy can come to school in their sports kits from Tuesday 👕
✅ White T-shirt
✅ Navy blue shorts
🧴 Please also send your child with sun cream and apply it before school.
Plenty of water and a sun hat too!

Today we gathered as a school and parish community at St Mary’s Catholic Church to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation for our wonderful young people.
We were honoured to welcome His Grace, Archbishop Bernard, who led us in this very special celebration. It was a joyful and prayerful occasion, marking an important step in the faith journey of our pupils.
We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them for the commitment, reflection and faith they have shown throughout their preparation.

Loving God,
We thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit poured out upon our young people today.
Guide them as they grow in faith, courage and love.
