We hope everyone enjoys the solar eclipse today. We have been learning all about it and making our own solar eclipse pictures.

Happy Father's Day

What a beautiful day to explore nature and have a picnic. We have been watching the busy bees going to the flowers then in to bee hives. We have explored sounds in the sound area.
Exploring Nature helps nurture our curiosity and helps our communication. It also helps our physical coordination as we walk, climb, bend and explore different things we see. Being in Nature is also good for our overall wellbeing as it makes us feel calm and happy.

We have had a fab morning celebrating Diane's Birthday. The older children helped Becky make a Birthday cake, measuring out the ingredients, helping to mix it and helping to put on the frosting. We sang happy birthday before having a slice it was very yummy.

We found lots of bluebells in the woods. We looked at their shape and talked about how we can only find them in spring. We talked about other things that happen in spring and compared how the woods look now to how they looked in winter. We talked about how delicate the bluebells are and saw that they only grew where people don't walk, we talked about how it was really important not to stand on them or pick them. We talked about different words we could use to describe the bluebells, deciding that beautiful, amazing, wonderful, pretty nice and magical were the best words to use. We thought about how seeing the blue bells and being in the woods made us feel. We said we felt happy and calm, we then decided that nature is pretty amazing.
