5 years ago today I started Amy’s Academy and it’s gone from strength to strength! Have taught 70 children now and met some lovely families, couldn’t imagine being back in a school now!! 😝😝

Yay!!! Back to face to face tutoring from next week 🥳🍾

Oh dear! Here we go again!! Face to face lessons are unfortunately on hold until February half term at least, following the latest Government’s announcement. Any existing clients I’m happy to switch to online if it works for your child, no pressure if not. I’ll have plenty of free time now so if anyone new needs ‘Lockdown Lessons’ to either compliment home schooling or look at something different, then please get in touch and I’m sure we can arrange something suitable. Here’s hoping for a more settled year for our children and schools 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
I am pretty much fully booked for after school sessions and Saturdays now but if you find yourself in an isolation situation and need ad hoc help during school hours, existing or new customers, then please get in touch and I can help. Either with homeschool work set or just an hour here and there to keep on track with the curriculum if stuck at home, anytime of the day.

I have spoken to the department for education this afternoon and they have confirmed I am all ok to continue tutoring in my home and visiting other people’s homes. Still happy to pause any sessions over lockdown and also looking into offering online alternatives, as understand some people would prefer to stay home during lockdown ###

Nessy has a different approach to teaching dyslexic children. Through spelling games and phonics play we help rebuild lost confidence.

Amy’s Academy has regularly helped 10 wonderful children over the summer holidays, a total of 32 hours teaching, catching up with any schooling missed and getting them ready to return to school. Wishing everyone the best of luck going back to school! I’m excited to be continuing on with some of them and have also welcomed some new children ready for September!
