School Closure Notice

Due to the Red Extreme Heat Warning in place and following careful consideration of official advice and a comprehensive risk assessment, our schools will be closed on Wednesday 24 June and Thursday 25 June 2026.

The health, safety and wellbeing of our pupils, staff and wider school community remain our highest priority.

We will be sharing details directly with families regarding learning activities and work to be completed during the closure period.

We’re so proud of the children who represented Stogursey at the Quantock Education Trust Social Action Conference. They had a fantastic time meeting pupils from other schools across the Trust, making new friendships and working together on activities focused on character, community and inclusion. It was wonderful to see our children sharing ideas and learning from others.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our EYFS provision. The postholder will assist the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver learning programmes to groups of children, but mainly they will work with a child with a high level of special education needs within the EYFS curriculum. This is a challenging, but extremely rewarding role.

We’re delighted to welcome everyone back for what promises to be a busy, positive and exciting Spring Term. There is so much to look forward to as we begin the year together.

I am delighted to be joining the Stogursey community and am really looking forward to getting to know you all over the coming weeks.

🏫 A reminder to all families looking for a Reception place this September: the deadline for primary school applications is 15 January 2026.
