I apologise for the rant
Here is a call to ban AI on all patterns
I have tried a few crochet patterns bought online from Etsy and a few free ones and also seen loads on Pinterest
All of them are designed to deceive the buyer let’s give real designers the space they need to sell proper designs with all the written help needed for beginners and improvers without having to contact someone to explain the pattern.
There are pieces that are not needed in the patterns I have tried and many pieces not there at all so there will be no chance of it looking anything like the picture.
I have designed and worked crochet patterns from other designers for years and have not seen any as bad as these ever
I like to try other people’s work and find it encourages me as a designer
I think these patterns are churned out without being checked and there needs to be more testing to prove the pattern works ok
