What a fantastic afternoon Team Food had yesterday with the Year 6 students from Sedgefield Hardwick Primary School!

Students had the opportunity to use produce they had grown at the new Sky Light Centre. They created a delicious homemade vegetable soup using their home-grown vegetables and even garnished it with parsley that had been grown and dehydrated at SCC for use throughout the year.

To complement their soup, students also made chia bread from scratch. It was wonderful for them to experience the full journey from growing their own produce to transforming it into a nutritious and tasty meal. A truly rewarding experience, showcasing the importance of growing, preparing and enjoying fresh food while developing valuable cooking skills and confidence in the kitchen.

We hope to see you all tonight :)

Choosing a secondary school is one of the most important decisions a parent / carer can make on behalf of their child. With this in mind, we invite you and your children to see for yourselves what we have to offer and why it is that we are a truly 'strong' school.

Well done to the Year 6 students from Sedgefield Hardwick Primary School who took part in a series of planned practical food lessons yesterday.

Team Food were delighted to launch the Tiny Tastebuds Cooking Academy for 2026/2027 with the first session for our Year 6 students. The students demonstrated excellent determination and resilience while making their delicious blueberry muffins within a challenging time frame.

Students even enjoyed a tour of the school, which was a wonderful added bonus.

A huge well done to all the students who took part. Team Food can't wait to welcome you back soon for the next session, where you'll be making winter vegetable soup and seeded bread. We look forward to seeing you all again!
