🌟 Introducing Our Graduated Response 🌟

At Crooksbarn, we have used our Graduated Response approach for a number of years to help us identify and respond to the individual needs of our children. ✨

Our approach follows five key steps, helping staff to continually monitor, understand and respond to children’s needs. We are always looking at how we can provide the best possible support and make appropriate adjustments so that every child can access a high-quality, inclusive education.

As children transition into new year groups and become more settled and comfortable within the school environment, you may notice that their needs can change. Sometimes, as children become more confident and aware, particular needs may become more apparent.

Our Graduated Response helps staff to notice these changes, put appropriate strategies in place and continually adapt support as children develop. 🌱

Over the next couple of weeks, as we continue to monitor and get to know the children in their new classes, teachers may chat with parents and carers about things they have noticed in school and discuss strategies or adjustments that could help your child to thrive.

🤝 Working together with families is incredibly important to us. By sharing information and working in partnership, we can make sure every child receives the support they need to flourish.

If you have any concerns about your child or feel they may benefit from additional support, please speak to your class teacher or Mrs Mitchell, our SENDCO.

📅 Our consultation evenings will take place during the final week of school, providing another opportunity to talk with your child’s teacher.

What an incredible day for our Cross Country team!

Every single one of our runners gave it their all and ran brilliantly. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you!

A huge congratulations to all of our children who qualified for the Tees Valley Finals. What a fantastic achievement! 🏅

A special shoutout to Lola and Delilah, who both finished an incredible 2nd place in their races🥈, and to Josie who achieved a fantastic 3rd place 🥉

Both Mr. Snow and Mr. Twiby both mentioned how brilliant our pupils attitude and behaviour was.
