Today the staff took part in Peadiatric First Aid training! 👶 🩹

A week of celebrating love for Valentines Day with lots of fun activities and yummy treats 😋❤️

Next week we will be celebrating national storytelling week 📕
We would love it if children brought in their favourite story from home if parents would like to send one in.
This is optional and you do not have to.
If you could label the book in some way so they don’t get mixed up that would be great, thank you ☺️

Yesterday we celebrated Chinese New Year with a Chinese themed lunch.
Our Menu:
Crispy chicken & noodles 🍜
With prawn crackers and cucumber. 🥒
Followed by some yummy fortune cookies. 🥠

This week we are celebrating the Lunar New Year. ☺️
The children are exploring the Chinese celebration in our different areas, role playing in the home corner, using their fine motor skills to pick up the noodles with chop sticks.
We are also enhancing our continuous provision in the sand and water using traditional bowls and spoons.

Sensory Antarctic Tuff Tray
The children enjoyed our sensory tray, using flour, dyed rice and chickpeas, exploring using their hands, naming the different animals they could see. 🐧🦭

This is Carol. Carol works in the nurture room at Playhouse. Carol likes going to the gym to keep fit and healthy. She enjoys spending time with her family, keeping busy on the weekends going places with her grandsons. 😊 Carol does not like horror movies.
