🎉 GCSE Results Day – Thursday 20th August 🎉

Results will be available to collect from 9:00am–11:00am.

If a student is unable to collect their results in person, they must email [email protected] in advance to confirm who will be collecting them on their behalf.

Anyone collecting results for a student must bring valid photo ID.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Results Day and wish all of our students the very best of luck! 🍀

***** No Water *****

Over the summer holidays, we are working hard to improve the quality and safety of the academy. The work taking place this summer is part of a year-long project to rewire the academy and includes changes to our boiler system.

To ensure the academy is ready to reopen at the end of the holidays, there will be no water on site next week.

This means that when calling to collect your results, there will be no toilet facilities or drinking water available. If the weather continues to be warm, please ensure you bring a drink with you.

If you need any assistance while you are at the academy, please speak to a member of staff.

Prior to Thursday and throughout the holidays, you can contact the academy through the enquiries inbox on the academy website.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation while these essential works are carried out.

We’re super excited to announce that Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth will be taking part in The Big Draw Festival throughout the whole of October! 🖊️🎨

This is our first year taking part in this amazing worldwide celebration of drawing, and our students will have the opportunity to get involved in “Making a Mark” throughout the festival right here in school! 🖌️✨

From experimenting with different materials and techniques to creating bold, imaginative and unexpected artwork, we can’t wait to see the marks our students make! 👏

🌍 The Big Draw Festival is a worldwide celebration of drawing, bringing people and organisations together through the power of creativity.

Free School Meals – changes from September 2026

From September 2026, the Government is expanding Free School Meal (FSM) eligibility. All families receiving Universal Credit will qualify for free school meals, but there will be two categories:
Targeted FSM (income threshold applies)
Universal Credit and household income £7,400 or less.
Qualifies for Pupil Premium and may qualify for extended home-to-school transport support (subject to criteria).

Expanded FSM
Universal Credit with income above £7,400.
Provides free school meals only.
