🎉 Red House School celebrates exceptional GCSE results!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the achievements of our Class of 2026, with 97.5% of pupils achieving grades 9–4.
Our results significantly exceed national, regional and independent school averages, reflecting the hard work, determination and ambition of our pupils, alongside the dedication and expertise of our staff.

🎙️ Dr Rebecca Ashcroft, Head of Red House School, said:
“I am delighted to celebrate another outstanding set of GCSE results at Red House School. Our pupils have shown tremendous commitment and perseverance throughout their studies, and their achievements today are a wonderful reflection of that hard work. They have also benefited from the expertise and individual support of our dedicated staff, who have helped each pupil to fulfil their potential.
This year’s results are a fantastic achievement across the whole cohort. An impressive 97.5% of pupils secured grades 9–4, equivalent to A*–C under the former grading system, while more than one in five pupils achieved the very highest grade. The breadth of success is particularly pleasing, with strong performances across the year group and a significant number of pupils attaining exceptional results at grades 9–8 (A*).
Our results significantly exceed the national averages for England, the North East and the independent school’s sector in England. This is an important measure of the strength of our pupils’ achievements and reflects the consistently high standards and ambitious expectations we have for every young person at Red House. The results demonstrate that our pupils are not only performing exceptionally well individually, but are achieving at a level that places the school significantly ahead of wider regional, national and independent school benchmarks."

🇺🇸 Red House US Exchange – Days 5 & 6! 🇺🇸

After a fantastic weekend of fun and adventures with their wonderful host families, our Year 10 pupils have enjoyed another busy couple of days in Kokomo!

Yesterday, the pupils spent the day back at school, joining lessons and experiencing more of everyday school life in the USA. 📚🇺🇸

Today, they headed off for an exciting visit to the Indiana State Fair 🎡🐄🎶 A brilliant opportunity to experience one of Indiana’s biggest annual events and enjoy some quintessential American culture! Another two fantastic days of memories, friendship and new experiences.

Days 3 & 4 🇺🇸✨ The Red House School Year 10 US Exchange is continuing to be a fantastic experience!

Yesterday, the pupils enjoyed a tour of their host school before spending their first full day immersed in lessons and experiencing school life in Kokomo High School.

Over the weekend, they have been enjoying a fantastic range of activities. Some have travelled to Indianapolis, Louisville and Chicago, while others have enjoyed the excitement of a Chicago Cubs baseball game ⚾️. A group also had the chance to watch a ladies’ soccer match.

So many different experiences and memories being made! Go Ladykats! ⚽️🇺🇸❤️

🇺🇸 Red House Year 10 US Exchange – Kokomo 2026 🇺🇸

The Kokomo leg of our Year 10 US Exchange has got off to a brilliant start!

After an incredible 24 hours of travelling via Schiphol, our Year 10 pupils arrived safely at Chicago airport and were warmly welcomed by their host families.

Over the first two days, they have already packed so much into the trip. They enjoyed two lessons in school, toured the Coca-Cola factory and a glass factory, had pizza for lunch, and visited the Memorial Gym. The day ended with a scrumptious meal at Cracker Barrel, where everyone enjoyed some classic American hospitality.

What a fantastic start to what promises to be an unforgettable exchange experience. We look forward to sharing more updates over the coming days! 🇺🇸✈️🍕

✨ Before the end of term, we celebrated one of the most special mornings of the year at our Festival of Achievement and Reception Class Graduation.

👏 Our Reception and Junior School pupils delighted families with wonderful class performances, celebrating all they have achieved throughout the year. It was fantastic to see so many proud parents and loved ones cheering them on.

🏆 Congratulations to our Year 4 and Year 5 pupils who received academic and sporting awards in recognition of their achievements.

🎓 A particularly memorable moment was our Reception Class Graduation, with our youngest pupils looking so proud in their caps and gowns as they received their graduation scrolls before beginning their Year 1 adventure.

🥰 Congratulations to all of our pupils on a fantastic year, we hope these photos bring back some wonderful memories.
