This week in Bright Butterflies, our theme was Our Bodies! The children enjoyed learning about and naming different parts of their bodies and learning about the different functions they have. We took part in activities such as body part matching, creating our own self-portraits, exploring our senses and moving our bodies to music, giving the children lots of opportunities to learn through play. 🧍♀️👀👂
Over in Busy Bees & Snuggle Bugs, our theme was Our Heroes! The children enjoyed sharing who their heroes are and talking about why they are special to them. We had lots of fun completing hero obstacle courses, making our own superhero masks and capes, creating superhero pictures and using our imaginations in superhero roleplay. 🦸♀️🦸♂️⭐
Across the setting, we have also been noticing the change in weather and welcoming autumn! 🍂 The children enjoyed walks out into our local community, collecting acorns and conkers along the way. We talked about the different colours we can see, how the leaves are changing and falling from the trees, the cooler weather and the signs that tell us autumn is here. 🍁🌳
