Graduation celebrations ✨🎓

Last week, we celebrated a truly special milestone with our wonderful children, families and friends as our class of 2026 graduated.

It was a beautiful opportunity to reflect on the incredible journey each child has taken during their time with us. We are incredibly proud of the confidence, independence and curiosity they have developed as they have grown, explored and learned alongside their friends and our dedicated team.

Each child has been supported to become a confident, capable and enthusiastic learner, and they are now ready for the exciting next step in their learning journey.

We will miss seeing their smiles every day, but we know they are ready to embrace their next adventure. 💙

Sunshine, smiles and outdoor play ☀🚜

We've loved making the most of the warm weather this week, exploring, playing and soaking up the sunshine outside. From playing in the sand to imaginative games with friends, every moment outside has provided endless opportunities for fun and discovery.

Spending time in the fresh air is a lovely way to encourage confidence, curiosity and healthy development 💙

🌟Encouraging Independence in Our Baby Room 🌟

In our baby room, we are always encouraging our little ones to try things for themselves, explore new experiences, and build confidence in their own abilities.

Promoting independence from an early age is so important, as it helps babies develop confidence, curiosity, resilience, and key skills that support their learning and development. These small steps also help prepare our little ones for their transition into the next room and the next exciting part of their Rosedene journey.

From choosing toys, exploring different textures, feeding themselves, or having a go at simple routines, every little moment helps our babies grow in confidence and independence.

How parents can encourage independence at home:
✨ Let your little one try feeding themselves with support
✨ Offer simple choices, such as choosing between two toys
✨ Encourage them to help with small routines, like tidying toys away
✨ Give them time to try before stepping in
✨ Celebrate every little achievement, no matter how small

We are so proud to support our babies as they grow, learn, and become more confident every day. 👶🏼

🌿Outdoor Learning 🌿

With the weather getting nicer, we’ve been making the most of our beautiful nursery garden and spending lots of time outdoors! ☀️ Our children have loved exploring, playing, and learning in the fresh air.

Outdoor learning in the early years is so important, it supports physical development, encourages creativity and imagination, boosts wellbeing, and helps children build confidence as they explore the world around them. 🌼

We can’t wait to enjoy even more outdoor adventures as the seasons change!

🐾 Zoo Lab Visit 🐾

This afternoon, we had a very exciting visit from Zoo Lab! The children were introduced to a range of fascinating animals including a gerbil, gecko, millipede, tarantula, snake, African snail, and even a cockroach. They had a wonderful time exploring each creature, taking turns to feel different textures and learning how to handle them gently. Some of our brave children even held a few of the animals!

This hands-on experience supported the children’s curiosity and confidence, helping them to learn more about different animals and where they come from. It also encouraged gentle behaviour, turn-taking, and respect for living creatures. Well done to Blossoms (and the team!) for being so curious and courageous! 🌿✨

Spring has Sprung🌸☀️

Last week, our children enjoyed the story Hello Spring and talked about the signs of the new season all around us. We explored the garden to look for insects and see spring in action, before taking part in a hands-on activity where we carefully deconstructed real flowers and created beautiful spring pictures. 🌸🐜

These activities supported our children’s curiosity about nature, helped develop fine motor skills, and deepened their understanding of seasonal changes and the world around them. 🌱✨
