The Barn Hartburn

You have no idea how excited we were to welcome our brand new 6 seater pushchair to The Barn! 🤣

Our action plan highlighted that we wanted our smallest Barnies to enjoy even more adventures within our local community & now they can!

From nature walks, library visits & trips to the park to exploring everything our community has to offer, there are endless adventures ahead ✨️

A huge well done to our wonderful chef, Debbie, for maintaining our 5 star food hygiene rating today!

Environmental Health arrived unannounced right in the middle of dinner time, but Debbie kept as calm as ever and absolutely smashed it!

Thank you for keeping our little Barnies well fed Debbie & maintaining such high standards every single day ✨️

Just another standard day at The Barn... trapeze lessons with the wonderful Clare!

Our little (& big!) Barnies climbed, swung, balanced & bravely tried something completely new today!

Because childhood should be full of new experiences, brave moments and plenty of 'LOOK AT ME!' memories! ✨️

🎓 C L A S S O F 2 0 2 6 🎓

What an incredible day we have had celebrating our wonderful Preschool Barnies. (Now here's what I was trying to say in my speech, before I got a little emotional 🤣😍)

Today was about so much more than graduation. It was about celebrating every little step, every new friendship, every challenge overcome, every laugh shared & every happy memory made along the way.

To our incredible little Barnies, you have made us proud beyond words. Watching you grow into the kind, confident, curious and unique little people you are today has been an honour. Each of you has left your own special mark on The Barn, and you will always be part of our Barnie family.

And to our wonderful families, thank you. Thank you for trusting us with your most precious people, for supporting us, laughing with us and sharing this journey. Today was your celebration too, because behind every little Barnie is a family cheering them on every step of the way.

We truly hope you all had the magical day you deserved. Our hearts are so full, and although saying goodbye is never easy, we cannot wait to see where your next adventure takes you.

Always remember your roots and never lose that Barnie sparkle ✨️

We're Graduation ready! See you all at 1pm 😍

Yesterday, some of our little adventurers headed off to the nature reserve, and what an adventure it was! We climbed trees, discovered a secret tunnel, found the perfect place to hang our hammock and even made our very own woodland swing! There were frogs to find, bridges to fish from and endless places to explore 🍃

No set plan, no limits, just imagination leading the way and our Little Barnies free to explore & discover at their own pace!

Just Barnies being Barnies 💫

Today, our Barnies showed their team spirit with a red & white colour run 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Of course, in true Barnie style, we led with our hearts, cheered each other on & made a glorious mess along the way!

England may have the football skills, but our little (& big!) Barnies definitely win when it comes to enthusiasm, passion & getting completely covered in colour!

Now come on England, bring it home for us!! ❤️🤍

The best classrooms don't always have four walls 🍃

Our Preschool Barnies went on an adventure to the nature reserve today and as you can see, we had so much fun! And in true Barnie style, we obviously finished off our adventure with a campfire back at nursery to toast marshmallows!

We're not just raising Little Barnies... we're nurturing kind hearts, curious minds and a lifelong love of nature. Because today's little explorers become tomorrow's big adventurers 💫

After many years of hard work & dedication, Jan, our wonderful Elmwood cleaner has officially retired ❤

Although Jan wasn't 'officially' a part of The Barn team, she has always been such a huge part of our days here at Elmwood. Whether it was a friendly chat, a warm smile, or stopping to say hello to our little Barnies, she was a familiar face that made everyone feel welcome.

Our Barnies absolutely adored seeing Jan, and our staff will miss her just as much. The centre won't quite be the same without her.

Jan, thank you for everything you've done over the years. We hope your retirement is filled with happiness & lots of relaxation!
