Our pre-schoolers have been setting sail on a grand learning adventure this week!
It all started with storytime, as we dove into the charming tale of The Goat and the Stoat on the Boat. The rhyming story had everyone giggling, but it also got our little engineers thinking: What makes a great boat?
Inspired by the story, the children took on the challenge of designing and building their very own floating vessels!
Once the fleet was ready, it was time for the ultimate buoyancy test:
Capacity Challenge: How many animal friends could each boat hold before capsizing into the deep blue sea?
Force & Motion in Action: Using a water ramp, the children experimented with water volume and flow. They discovered firsthand how the force of moving water carries a boat downstream—adjusting the pour to see how fast or slow their boats would glide!
We are so proud of our little scientists for asking questions, making predictions, and diving headfirst into hands-on STEM learning.
