Our children in the hive have loved painting pumpkins using their hands to print the pumpkin shape, adding dots for eyes and a green stalk. The children were all so proud of their creations. ☺️

Today In Ryandale Hive we made cupcakes, it was a fun hands-on activity that supports a range of learning and development. We did great pouring, mixing, stirring and decorating.
Through the activity, we develop our fine motor skills by holding spoons, pouring ingredients, stirring the mixture and using their fingers to decorate the cupcakes. It also supports hand-eye coordination and helps strengthen the small muscles in their hands.

This activity also supports language and communication skills by learning and using words such as “mix,” “pour,” “flour,” “sugar,” “bake” and “cupcake.” We enjoyed talking about how we make the cakes.

The children have been practicing their mark making skills in different ways. We have used pencils, crazy foam, flour and paint sticks. They have been exploring different textures describing what they feel like. We have enjoyed tasting different fruits and they even got to squeeze out the juice. We have had lots of outdoor play further developing our physical skills moving in different ways. We have also been recognising numbers and shapes during outdoor activities.

Today the children took part in an activity to recognise different shapes. We spoke about the different shapes we could see during the activity. The children worked on their hand eye coordination using the paint dabbers to create each shape, following the lines. The children have been showing lots of interest in dressing up and using their physical skills on the stepping stones.

The children have enjoyed lots of outdoor play, exploring building and balancing, role play using different props and physical skills.
The children demonstrated great strength using the climbing wall and working together to build and balance using the mega blocks. We were recognising numbers and shapes on the playground. The children were showing great physical skills moving in different ways, running, climbing, hopping and skipping using the hula hoops.

🌈🌞We hope everyone has had a lovely summer holidays🌞🌈
We have loved welcoming back some familiar faces and some new ones, everyone has settled in really well and we look forward to seeing more of you next week. Over the next term we will be developing and building relationships, introducing numeracy and literacy through play and talking about ourselves and our families. Ryandale:
This week has been party week at Ryandale. The children have enjoyed party snack with their friends and taking part in lots of party games each session. They have won lots of prizes and chocolate coins, we have played pass the parcel, musical bumps and musical statues. There was also prizes for the best dancing. We have had a brilliant year at Ryandale. We wish all of our families and children a lovely summer. See you all soon. Ryandale will open on Thursday 3rd September.

🌈Ryandale Graduation 2026🌈

This week we said an emotional good-bye, to our 2026 leavers, it’s been a joy to have you all at Ryandale and we will miss each and every one of you.

Can we take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support it really does mean a lot to all of us.
Also we would like to thank you for your lovely gifts, cards and kind words.

We hope you all have a lovely summer and, for those families staying at Ryandale, we will see you when we re open on Thursday September 3rd.

Ryandale hive:
This week the children have enjoyed party week, we have had party games and action songs. The children have won prizes to take home during each session. We have seen some brilliant dance moves. They really enjoyed pass the parcel. For snack we have had party food.
