And just like that… our little graduates are off on their next adventure! 🎓
We’re still smiling after celebrating our wonderful nursery graduates last month. What a special day it was!
We’re incredibly proud of each and every graduate and feel so lucky to have shared such an important part of their journey.
From their first days through to this very special milestone, it has been a joy to watch their confidence grow, friendships blossom and personalities shine.
It has been a privilege to have them at Rosedene Redhill and we wish them all the very best of luck as they head off to school! 💙

Our little community champions have been busy taking part in a litter pick around our local area! 🌍💚
As they collected litter, they talked about recycling, protecting wildlife and keeping shared spaces clean and welcoming for everyone.
Working together encouraged teamwork, communication and a sense of responsibility, while also helping the children develop respect for their community and the world around them.
Well done, everyone! 🌱♻️

Feel good Friday! 🍦
Last week's hot weather called for a very special surprise at nursery... an ice cream van! 😋
All of the children were so excited to welcome the ice cream man and choose a delicious treat of their choice. It was a wonderful way to cool down in the sunshine and created some lovely memories for the children. A big thank you to the ice cream van for helping make the day so special!🧡

Little chefs 🍉
This month we've been learning all about healthy living and the importance of making healthy choices!
The children loved preparing their own healthy fruit snacks alongside our chef, Karl, promoting independence while developing their fine motor skills and practising holding the cutlery safely and correctly.
It was wonderful to see their confidence, determination and pride as they prepared and enjoyed their tasty snacks! 💚

Mud Kitchen Magic🪴🌤
Last week our children enjoyed spending time in our nursery garden, exploring the mud kitchen in the warm sunshine. They mixed, poured, scooped, and created their own muddy recipes while sharing ideas and working together with their friends.
Mud kitchen play supports children’s creativity, communication, and imagination while helping to develop fine motor skills, problem-solving, and social interaction. Outdoor play also encourages curiosity and sensory exploration in a fun and engaging environment.

National Nurses Day 👩⚕️🩺
On Tuesday, we had a very special visit from Nurse Leah, who used to work for Rosedene and now helps care for children at Newcastle RVI. ❤️
Leah showed our children some of her nursing equipment, including a stethoscope, heart rate monitor and blood pressure monitor. Rosebuds loved taking turns to explore and learn all about how nurses help us. 🏥
Our children also made some beautiful pictures for Leah to take back to the nurses, to show our appreciation for all the amazing work they do. 🌟
Thank you, Nurse Leah, for visiting and inspiring our little learners!

🪴 Taking Care Of Our Plants 🌱
With the warmer weather arriving, our little ones have been spending lots more time outdoors exploring and caring for our nursery garden. Following our children’s interests, we recently added flowers to our outdoor area, which the children have loved helping to look after. ☀️
Our children independently used watering cans to water the plants while talking about what flowers need to grow, including water and sunshine. 🌼
This activity supported the children’s independence, communication skills, and understanding of the natural world, while also encouraging responsibility and care for their environment. 💚

🤎 Earth Day 🤎
Last week we celebrated Earth Day with lots of hands-on, sensory activities! Our children enjoyed mud painting in the nursery garden, using brushes and their hands to create marks, patterns, and textures. Indoors, they continued the exploration with tuff tray activities, investigating natural elements through scooping, mixing, and imaginative play.
Through these experiences, the children developed their creativity, fine motor skills, and sensory awareness. Engaging with natural materials encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and confidence, while messy play supports self-expression and emotional wellbeing. Exploring both outdoor and indoor environments helps children build a deeper connection with nature and the world around them. 🌱
