Yesterday, 7 brave students completed our Spanish for Travel course, and we couldn’t be prouder of them! 🇪🇸✈️

Congratulations to each and every one of you for doing such an incredible job. Over the past few weeks we’ve learned together, we laughed, we practised, and created some wonderful memories along the way.

Thank you for bringing so much energy, enthusiasm, and positivity to every class. We can’t wait to welcome you back for more Spanish learning and great times together.

¡Enhorabuena y hasta pronto! 🤍

How do indefinite pronouns work?

Indefinite pronouns are used to talk about people or things in a non-specific way, when we do not know exactly who or what they are, or when we do not want to say.

Examples
👥 Todos (Everyone / Everybody / All) → includes every person or thing.
Todos están en clase.
(Everyone is in class.)
👤 Alguien (Someone / Somebody) → one person, but we don’t know who.
Alguien llama a la puerta.
(Someone is knocking at the door.)
👥 Algunos (Some) → part of a group, but not everyone.
Algunos prefieren la playa.
(Some people prefer the beach.)
🚫 Nadie (Nobody / No one) → no person.
No hay nadie en casa.
(There is nobody at home.)
🚫 Ninguno (None / Not any) → not one person or thing.
No tengo ninguno.
(I don’t have any. / I have none.)

💡 Important rule

In Spanish, nadie and ninguno are normally used with the negative word no.

✅ No conozco a nadie.
(I don’t know anybody.)
✅ No hay ninguno.
(There isn’t one. / There aren’t any.)
❌ Conozco a nadie. (Incorrect.)

These pronouns replace a noun, so we don’t need to repeat it.

Example:

¿Hay estudiantes en clase? (Are there any students in class?)

Sí, todos. (Yes, everyone.)
Sí, algunos. (Yes, some of them.)
No, ninguno. (No, none.)
