Learning Spanish is all about conducting individual work AND cracking the books📚 Listening to music is a great way to widen vocab, learn modern colloquial language (slang) and make things a bit more fun in the process!
Here I’ve listed my 5 favourite Spanish speaking music artists. They are a mix of nationalities (which is why I haven’t described them as Spanish!), so they use a wide range of slang terminology from across the globe!
The best way to listen to these songs is to listen once or twice with no visual aid, THEN after listening to the entirety of a song, take a look at the lyrics. You will not understand the whole thing, far from it! But if you learn one new word in the process, then it’s all worth it! Bad Bunny doesn’t let people tag him so find him here:

As 2021 is drawing to a close, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who supported me and shared my page throughout these past 6 months. Everyone’s support means so much and has helped me exponentially throughout the year. I am so lucky to have been able to start privately tutoring in such a difficult period, and it is all thanks to the people who shared my page and got the word out there.
I’ll be taking some time off for Christmas to give myself a little rest and to focus on my assignments, the details of said break will be posted in due course.

What I’m currently reading 📖
Laura Esquivel is a very celebrated Mexican novelist and an amazing writer. She also wrote a lovely novel called Como agua para chocolate, pictured second, which I read during my A Level extra curricular reading 🤓🤓 Her prose is touching and heartfelt throughout what I’ve read so far of this novel. I’m reading this novel in the context of a module at university which focuses on the colonisation of Latin America.
Reading is an excellent way of expanding your vocabulary. If you’re a beginner, start with children’s books! There are plenty of free children’s Spanish resources online which will enrich your vocabulary and help your pronunciation.

Today was my first day teaching Spanish in a local primary school 🤓 Miss Maclean sounded very formal

I’m starting a postgraduate qualification in Languages, Literatures and Cultures but don’t sweat - I’m still very available to teach! I cannot wait to become a master 😎😎😎😎
