🕌 Exploring Faith | Together We Are Stronger

As part of our commitment to helping students understand the diverse world around them, our Year 8 students visited Middlesbrough Central Mosque to learn more about Islam and the Muslim faith.

Our interfaith programme gives students the opportunity to experience different places of worship and develop their understanding of some of the world’s major religions.

⛪ Year 7 visit a cathedral to explore Christianity
🕌 Year 8 visit a mosque to explore Islam
✡️ Year 9 will be looking to visit a synagogue to explore Judaism

These experiences encourage our students to ask questions, broaden their understanding of different cultures and beliefs, and develop the respect and tolerance needed to become well-rounded young people.

Our Year 7 students had a fantastic visit to Middlesbrough Cathedral on Friday, where they had the opportunity to learn more about Christianity, its traditions, the importance of charity and its place within our society. ⛪

This visit is part of our wider commitment to helping students understand and appreciate different religions and faiths. In Year 8, our students will visit a mosque to learn about Islam, and in Year 9, we hope to take them to a synagogue to learn more about Judaism.

We believe that understanding different faiths, cultures and perspectives helps our young people to become more knowledgeable, respectful and well-rounded individuals.

Together, we are stronger. 🤝

Our students had an amazing day and were an absolute credit to themselves, their families and the academy.
