Hope you all had a lovely Christmas & New Year- just want to say a huge thank you to all the parents. I was spoiled again this Christmas, really don’t expect gifts but it’s so lovely to feel so valued. Here’s to another year with my sidekicks ❤️ I’ll pop some of these bottles open to celebrate 10 years of Cheadle Hulme Childminding this year ❤️

Well that’s it for this year….. we’ve had a few little ones leave to go to school and we’ve had a few new starters that have settled in beautifully. Can’t wait to see what mini adventures 2025 bring ❤️
Want to thank all the parents for being amazing to work with and letting me help secure those early years goals with their children.
Have a lovely Christmas wherever and with whomever you spend it with -See you all in January (w/c 6th January).
Lots of love, Marie. Xx

Never gets easy to say goodbye!
It’s hard when a little one leaves who has been in your care every week since being very small ❤️ they become part of your home, family and part of you. It’s a privilege to know someone trusts you to care for their children, and it’s a bigger privilege to be able to watch them grow and develop. I’ll miss this little sassy lady - love you kidda! Go smash school Nursery, show them what you can do ❤️

Just like that… he’s moving on 🩵 oh how you’ve grown and into such a gorgeous boy 🩵 I envy your teachers, they will now get all the smiles and giggles you gave me, and they will get to answer a question whilst you’re asking your next question 😂 it has been a pleasure, and you’ll always have a piece of my heart with you - now go show big boy school what you’re made of, tell them all the things you know and show them all the things you can do 🩵

Not posted to my page in such a long time, but I’m still here helping little ones develop and thrive 💕 coming out of covid and getting a new set of children plus having my inspection while still having a life and gaining 2 beautiful granddaughters got me distracted 😆
But really wanted to share this with you all, we started attending Boogie Beat sessions at the care homes again and yesterday we were at Meadway 💕 it was lovely to see Maureen so happy and healthy as she was pre covid 💕
But I can’t tell you how precious these sessions are - everyone wanted to hold and cuddle baby and baby was in her element, the older children danced, sang, hugged and played games with them 💕 A huge appreciation goes to Tracy Markham for organising these sessions 💕
But I’ve got to share this special moment with you all - one of the ladies is blind but loves children. My oldest mindee let her feel his face and hair, I explained to him she’s feeling your face so she can imagine what you look like and how big you are. We described to her the colour of his hair and the blueness of his eyes and a very cheeky smile 🥰 after she had finished he wrapped his arms around her….. she burst into tears saying I can’t see but I can feel love 😭 it made her that happy she cried! These are the most important moments for me!! The child learnt far more than could be taught in a lesson and we made others happy 💕
It got me in the feels and will stay with me forever!! 💕

So today little one built a bridge, then my other little one joined in and they built a......he said it’s a crane, she said it’s a Flamingo 🤷‍♀️ I think it’s amazing because it’s both them things and they both are using their own imagination and not just going along with what the other thinks! ✨Don’t ever stop having your own imagination and dreaming your own dreams - no-one else’s will ever be as exciting or as perfect as what you see yourself 💞

Party lunch!! Such a shame these little ones can’t have their usual parties 🎈 with all their little friends. So today we had party lunch, played pass the parcel, musical bumps/statues - danced (mainly to the gummybear song 😂) and had some balloon fun!! Yes I forgot how excitable balloons are for children 😂😂🤯
I really enjoyed myself 😆

Happy Mother’s Day to all the lovely mums out there!
I’m very lucky in my job I get to meet many truly lovely and brilliant mums, we are all different but we all have one thing that is the same - an unconditional, selfless and unbreakable love for our children.
It isn’t till we have children ourselves that we realise that it’s hard being a mum, it’s exhausting, hard work, constant, stressful, worrying and fearful at times but it is the most amazing bond we’ll ever make and it’s a love no one can ever fully explain. We don’t always get it right but everything we do is with the very best intentions- never beat yourself up about how you parent because you are doing your best and no matter what, to your child you are the world....Always! ❤️
I loved hearing why the little ones loved their mummies ❤️

👍🏻

Nearly 6 years I’ve been a childminder, and 8 1/2 years working in Early years and I love what I do. ❤ I never thought I would be Self-Employed and have such a successful little business and that my job would be perfect for me as well as my Family- believe me as a home childcare setting your Family have to value your job as much as you do! ❤️ I’m so thankful for the support I’ve had from all my cm friends and network we may be in different boats but we are sailing the same seas!! I’m thankful for the incredibly supportive families past and present and feel incredibly honoured to have been able to look after all your little ones and help with their progress and development 👶🏼
Even during this time of uncertainty, I have been so grateful to have my Job. Which has allowed me to at least work throughout the pandemic even if for awhile it was just keyworker and frontline workers Children, I felt proud to be able to support others working in these conditions for the good of everyone else. I applaud all my parents for coping with work demands and helping your children adjust to this new normal - you’re doing great!
Proud to be a key worker, providing quality care and education despite the increased risks we all face, risking our health and that of our families. I know more so for cm’s it has been daunting for many opening our homes because of the risks, but we all have and this shows dedication to our job and our little mindee’s.
To all those providing a safe place to a child in this crazy world 🌎 for those of you reassuring parents 😊 for those that still hug, wipe snotty noses, help with toilet/nappy times and put smiles on children’s faces day after day🌈 this Thumbs up is for you!👍🏻

Proud of all Early Years Practitioners out there. Keep being amazing- we are shaping our worlds next leaders, inventors, stars, endless possibilities maybe a few will become amazing early years practitioners too 😉🎈🌈
