Repaired, Re-upholstered and Reloved Reloved Upholstery exists today because of love.

For years I have loved chairs, not purely on an aesthetic level but also for their silent, dependable functionality. I started Reloved Upholstery because of this love of chairs, fabric and interiors. The history of the chairs is part of the excitement of restoring and upholstering them ready to be reloved in a new home. When I strip-back a newly discovered piece, the chair reveals its history this

Hey vintage furniture lovers! Every Reloved restoration is one-of-one — never a copy, never “standard.”

A sofa is my mannequin, and the fabric is treated like a bespoke suit.
Every curve. Every seam. Every detail. Tailored, pinned, refined… until it sits perfectly.

And the finishing touch? A twin top stitch — clean, considered, and properly built to last. 🖤🪡

Tell me in the comments: what pulls you in first?
1. the seam lines
2. the fabric choice
3. the overall shape

This is why i’m looking for a new studio space: because you can’t build beautiful work in a space that literally shakes.

For months i’ve raised the same issue — heavy vibration and relentless noise coming through the wall from next door — and the response has been silence, dismissal, and “what’s your problem?” No site visit. No one from management or the landlords has stood in my studio to feel what i feel. No solution. I asked for soundproofing in July 2025 and it was refused.

I’ve poured 7+ years into my studio at Pear Mill — it was my creative haven. My work relies on focus, precision, and calm… but instead i’m trying to work while the room judders. As a neurodivergent maker, these unpredictable bursts of noise and vibration don’t just “bother” me — they shut my brain down and make it impossible to do my projects.

If you can hear it like this on a phone recording for a reel… imagine trying to run a business in it.

Vintage lovers — comments of support and advice below would genuinely mean the world. A big creative thanks in advance x mentalhealthmatters

Hey vintage chair lovers! What do you think of these Reloved Lurashell?

These chairs are proper British space-age icons — moulded fibreglass shells from the late 1950s / swinging 60s, made by H. Wood in Ware, Hertfordshire, and widely associated with designer Walter S. Chenery. Sleek, futuristic, ridiculously comfortable… and yes, Lurashell seating famously appeared on the QE2.

These two were restored for a wonderful client and I’m honestly a bit obsessed with how they’ve come up — that Teal against the black shell is just perfection. Sculptural curves, serious presence, and ready for their next chapter.
