🌻 | End of term!

As another fantastic year at Stockport Music Service comes to a close, we’d like to say a huge thank you to our incredible staff, supportive parents and carers, and, most importantly, our wonderful, dedicated students. Your enthusiasm, hard work and love of music are what make our music service such a special place.

We hope you all have a relaxing and enjoyable summer break, and we look forward to welcoming you back for a brand-new term starting Monday 7th September. See you then!

🎶 What a way to round off our tour! 🇫🇷

Yesterday, our musicians gave their final performance in Honfleur, playing to a fantastic audience and bringing the tour to a brilliant close.

Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a well-earned trip to the beach for a game of rounders before stopping off at the beautiful Basilique Sainte-Thérèse on the journey back.

Today, we’re making our way home after an unforgettable few days of music, friendship and memories. We’re incredibly proud of every student for representing Stockport Music Service so brilliantly throughout the tour. 🎺🇫🇷

🎶 Two performances down! 🇫🇷

It’s been a fantastic few days for Stockport Music Service here in Normandy.

Saturday saw our tour begin with a special international concert at the stunning Espace Saint-Jacques in Lisieux, where we performed alongside our friends from Städtische Musikschule Heilbronn in Germany.

Yesterday, our musicians continued to impress with another wonderful performance. Our Orchestra performed in the beautiful Église de Fervaques, while our soloists and chamber groups showcased their talents in the Salle de Musique. The day ended with a fantastic joint finale, bringing together musicians from Stockport, haringey_music and Heilbronn.

Today we’re heading to Juno Beach! 🏖️

🎶 | Music Centre Ensembles!

Here’s our timetable for all of our Music Centre ensembles this September! All groups return from Monday 7th September, and we’re kicking things off with an Open Rehearsal Week.

During this first week back, you’re invited to come along and try any of our ensembles completely FREE before deciding if it’s the right fit!

While many of our ensembles are designed for young musicians with some previous playing experience, the following groups are perfect for complete beginners:

🥁 Infant Music Makers
🎻 Viola Champions
