What a busy summer!!!

We have been busy learning about butterflies and visiting parks, farms and Manchester City centre.

We have been very busy:
- matching cars to their numbered parking bays
- exploring making footprints
- hiding under the trees from the rain and decorating their branches with chalk
- playing at wacky warehouse
- reading books
- completing self registration when we arrive by putting our own “peg person” into the house
- making our own pizzas for lunch

We have been very busy ……..
- footprint printing
- cutting cress and making a cress sandwich
- watching diggers
- building towers
- playing in the sandpit
- scooping puddle water
-popping bubbles
-pouring water down the drainpipes
- planting seeds
- climbing rocks
- playing with water beads
- exploring treasure baskets
-posting lolly sticks
- going on a fairy tale trail

We have been very busy:
- Playing in the porridge oats
- Building marble runs
- Using the hammer and nails to make pictures
- playing with the pancakes tuff tray
- rolling bangles down the ramp
- helping friends put on their shoes
- going on a nature hunt around the park
- looking at the painted stones on the rainbow
- feeding the ducks
- Painting with mud
- making petal sun catchers
- having afternoon tea
- building with big wooden bricks
- exploring the coloured Easter eggs
-going on an Easter egg hunt
- watching the ducklings at the park.

Have been busy:
- Playing a firefighter number ladder game with the mini-me bricks.
- painting a cardboard box fire engine.
-spotting diggers
- driving in our fire engine
- playing hop-scotch
- making bird feeders
- exploring lunar new year resources
- picking up “noodles” with chop sticks
- playing in the sand suitcase
- exploring the wind with ribbons
- making our own playdough
- looking for Chinese lanterns
- building bridges
- travelling on a train to visit Chinatown
- making tin can tunnels
- painting with mud
- driving fire engines at “fireground museum”
- exploring magnets.

We have been very busy:
- taking the Scuttlebugs and buggies for a whiz around the park
- decorating the foam with coloured drawing pins
- playing with the kitchen items
- making painted animal footprints
- racing the firefighters up their ladders
- pretending to be firefighters and squeezing water bottles to put out the chalk fires
-scooping coloured chick peas in the sensory tray
- climbing rocks at Alderley Edge

Exploring the Gruffalo sensory tuff tray
Riding on our scuttlebugs
Rolling balls down the ramp
Exploring shapes on the ground-board
Making play dough and using it to make a Gruffalo!

We went on a pumpkin trail.
Halloween light box abs sensory tray.
Scooping out the seeds from the pumpkin.
Exploring shapes and colours on the light box.
Making bird feeders with the little pumpkins.
Exploring the sculpture at Dane Bank Park.
Making diva lamps.
Feeding the ducks and geese at Clifton country park.
Firework cardboard tube printing.
Exploring the mosaic at Alexandra park.
Putting purple prickles all over the Gruffalo’s back.

We have been busy making imprints in the play dough, rolling conkers down ramps and through paint on the ramp, exploring light and colour, visiting the “pub” at Portland Basin, hammering golf tees into pumpkins, visiting a pumpkin patch, washing, painting and glueing leaves onto pumpkins.
