☀️ A wonderful day of outdoor learning and play! ☀️🌿
We’ve had such a busy and brilliant day filled with lots of fun activities, learning and plenty of smiles! 🥰
🏀 Preschool
Our preschool children have been developing their gross motor skills through some fantastic hoop-shooting activities! They showed amazing coordination, balance and determination as they practised getting the ball through the hoop — and there were SO many high fives and celebrations along the way! 🙌👏
We also got creative while developing our fine motor skills, becoming little artists with giant chalk! 🎨 The children used their imaginations to create lots of colourful artwork across our outdoor space, exploring different marks, shapes and patterns. ✨
💦 Toddlers
Our toddlers enjoyed lots of free play with sand and water exploring at their own pace and following their own interests. They scooped, poured, filled, emptied and experimented with the different textures and materials. 🪣💧🏖️
This type of open-ended play is fantastic for encouraging curiosity, problem-solving and early mathematical thinking, while also supporting their independence and social skills as they played alongside their friends. ❤️
🦆 Babies
Our babies had a lovely time exploring our water tray enjoying the sensory experience of splashing, pouring and feeling the water with their little hands. 💦
We also enjoyed singing “Five Little Ducks” together 🦆🎶, using actions and repetition to support communication, listening skills and engagement. Our group times gave the babies lots of opportunities to join in, watch their friends and enjoy those special shared moments together.
