Corsa School of Motoring The Driving School with the highest official DSA published pass rates in Stockport.

If you can find any other driving instructor in this area who actually publishes higher actual figures, like I do on my website [corsaschoolofmotoring.co.uk], rather than claim to simply have "great pas rate" or "high pass rate" or "very high pass rate" [anyone can do that] then you win this weeks star prize!

If you're planning on starting driving lessons, please contact me in plenty of time as I already have a considerable number of people with their name's on my waiting list.
The only way I can queue jump people who want to start lessons with me is if you've already had driving experience [whether that may be10/12 hours or you've even taken, and failed, a test already.] and you're available midweek during the day, as that is when I do have some free slots.
For those of you who are looking at prices, they're as follows:
Hour lessons are £32
Hour and a half lessons are £44
Two hour lessons are £54
With the current going's on worldwide, and the price of petrol on a rapid upward curve week by week, I do expect those prices to increase in the coming months so please check when you enquire.
Discounts are available for advance payments on block bookings and are as follows [these discounts apply to 1.5 & 2 hours lessons only NOT to 1 hour lessons:
Pay for 10 lessons in advance and get a discount of £2 per lesson.
Pay for 20 lessons in advance and get a discount of £3 per lesson.
Hope this helps.
In the meantime, stay safe and well! 👍

Just realised, I posted this on my personal FACEBOOK page but forgot to put it on here. Anyway, here goes:
The very merry, and very snowy, month of March saw my final 3 tests of this test year [running April 1st 2017 to March 31st 2018] all pass at the 1st attempt to give me a total of 27 passes out of 31 tests over the last 12 months.
To break it down, I’ve had 28 pupils, 25 passed first attempt, 1 passed 2nd attempt at an extended test [that’s an hour and 10 minutes test for very naughty people…..tut-tut-tut Theo!!!], 1 passed 3rd attempt and finally, one failed his 1st attempt and, for some bizarre reason, decided just to quit.
Percentage wise, that’s an OVERALL PASS RATE
of 87% with an even higher FIRST TIME PASS RATE of 89%.
In comparison to the last 3 years official DVSA pass rates nationwide , of all Approved Driving Instructors , which were 47.6% in 2014/15……..47.1% in 2015/16……and 48% in 2016/17 these final figures are something for both myself and all my pupils to be very proud of.
So, thanks to all concerned throughout the last 12 months, and MASSIVE current thanks to my hat-trick heroes for March which gave us that final push upwards.....here they are:
Ted 'Mark' Amison [proving miracles do really happen! ARF] Matt Elliott [proving the right headgear can hide your battle scars!] and last, but certainly not least, one of my all-time favourite girlies, and friend n family discount holder Natalie Barlow [proving that you don't need to make any effort whatsoever with your hair and make-up to achieve a pass!!!].

Okie dokie, Practical Test update...as we all know the new version of the practical test came in on December 4th 2017, with various changes, including the 20 minute independent drive using either a satnav or following road signs, and the introduction of forward bay parking and the ridiculous parking on the right, facing oncoming traffic.
Unfortunately, my 1st test failed [test no26 of the year] but that little blow has been righted by the heavyweight arm of the Corsa School of Motoring nailing tests nos. 27 & 28. So well done to these 2 beauts, happy-clappy Adam Hurst and non-smiling miserable bastard Joe Baguley!!!! Ha ha ha, only joking Joey....HONEST!

Right....HERE SHE IS....my hero, test no.23 Erin Maidens.....so, in she goes, into the Corsa School of Motoring "HALL OF FAME" for successfully passing her test at Bredbury, not only at the 1st attempt, but with ZERO driving faults, the perfect drive ,with her Driving Examiner, Tony the Tiger, saying "I really couldn't fault you!"
As most people will be aware, clean sheets on driving tests are extremely rare and I've had dozens of superbly capable pupils come close, with 1 and 2 driving faults, so to achieve it is exceptional.
So, Erin is the 3rd pupil to pass at Bredbury, with a clean sheet. All 3 of those successful pupils were girls, so I think it's about time the lads pulled their fingers out and started leveling the scores!
To be fair to the fellas, and taking into account 19 years of going to Reddish test centre, they beat the girls by two to one, as far as clean sheets go, so it's not all that bad or, with the score at Ladies 4 Gentlemen 2, maybe it is?

Blimey, 12 weeks since I last updated my test results so, apologies to anyone remotely interested, here we go:

Test 16: Jessica Davenport, passed 1st time on 9th September
Test 17: Louisa Farrar, possibly THE nuttiest girl I've ever had the pleasure to meet, passed 1st time on 27th September
Test 18: Mark Taylor, passed 1st time on 30th September
Test 19: Beth Robinson, very camera shy apparently, passed 1st time on 14th October
Test 20: Oh NOOOOOOOOOOO, one of my all time fave girls, failed her 2nd attempt…gutted!
Test 21: Lee Mottram, passed 1st time on 15th October
Test 22: WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH, well done Becki Louise Whitehead, nailed it at last on 17th November, 3rd attempt but possibly the most satisfying of all the tests so far this year…..great determination and lots of guts, and a great example to people who might not pass 1st time, or 2nd, to keep going. So proud of this girl!!
Test 23: Passed 1st time on 23rd November, and even more satisfying then Becki’s , so much so that she’s earned her very own post [above this one!].
Test 24: Matt Hill, passed 1st time on 27th November
Test 25: Nathan Aaron Colbourne {YSB], passed 1st time on the 28th November
Scores on the doors so far, as Nathans test was the last of the Practical Tests using the current format, and before the new format, with 20 minutes independent driving, and use of satnavs, comes in on 4th December…….25 tests since the start of the new test year, April 1st 2017, TWENTY 1st time passes, ONE second time pass, and ONE 3rd time pass.
Overall pass rate so far this year = 88%
First time pass rate so far this year = 90.9%

Test no15, and pass no13....and, NOOOOOOOOOO, it's not a Yeti, it's the brilliant Brandon Holbrook, the Hattersley Pirate, and our 12th 1st time passer of the year.......told to "stop talking and concentrate on your driving...." by the Driving Examiner! Never short of things to say, our Brandon, even when he was in a bit of a pickle [hee-hee..........geddit......Brandon/pickle!!!], and always as happy as a pig in shhhhhh, you know what! Nice one Bran, you big daft lump, I'm gonna miss your humour but not those legs/tree trunks!!!! 😀

Latest test update: Unfortunately, test no11 blew it with a serious fault, turning right at the FORK OF DEATH, but on this occasion I won't be posting a picture of a dumb animal as she'd probably scratch my eyes out!!!
On a brighter note, nos.12, 13 and 14, all passed......Theo the Greek [had to check that spelling, in case I missed the "r" out!] passed his "very very naughty persons" extended test at the second attempt, which is pretty good going considering it's an hour and 10 minutes long.
Then we have nos 12 & 13, both did fantastically well and passed 1st time...so CONGRATS and THANK YOU to the wonderfully sweet, funny, and ultra reliable Sophie Cragg and to the much less sweet [so much less that he's not actually sweet at all!] but quite funny and just as reliable Sam Bailey.
12 passes out of 14 so far since April 1st!

Practical Test results for June and July so far:
Test No8: Lindsay Smith passed 1st time with 2 driving faults, and absolutely nailed it.
Test no9: "Sticky" Victoria Kinch Mairs, within a week of her best mate Miffy, also passed 1st time, with 3 faults, and also impressed the Examnier, not only with her brilliant driving, but also with her World-renowned ping-pong skills!!
Test no10: Olivia Kavanagh, passed 1st time with 3 driving faults and proved you can pass even under the influence of God only knows what hallucinogenic/brain paralyisng substance she slipped into her mouth/up her nose on the way back up the 50 road to the Test Centre, No wonder I've got no bleedin' hair!!!
Still, so pleased, and proud, of my three wonderful girls....and pass rate so far for this year is a very healthy 90%!

Update on Practical Tests in April and May 2017, after Jade kicking us off on the right foot for the new Test Year from April 1st.:
Test no2 of the year: Jimmy Ollerenshaw, passed 1st time with 2 faults in April, and went on to celebrate United's glorious Micky Mouse Treble in rather drunk and disorderly fashion, with yours truly, in The Nags Head.
Test no3: Scott Rogers, also passed 1st time with me with 3 faults tho, unlike Jimmy, Scott has no interest in football trophies whatsoever.
Test no4: My fave Stockport Grammar girl, Ellen Mobley, who also shares Scott's lack of interest in footballing silverware, passed 1st time with 5 faults.
Test no5: Jake Nadin, passed 1st time with 4 faults...not interested in football but has a keen interest in animals [not Jimmy's type, I mean furry one's!!!].
Test no6: Jordan Boyle, passed 1st time with 5 faults, despite looking like he'd been dragged through a mud heap before his test.
Test no7: Booooooooooooooo! Remains nameless, but if you recognise him in the photo's, please feel free to name and shame him for ruining my 100% pass rate for this year so far. An extended test too, at £124 a throw....OUCH!!!!

And, while I'm on here at this unGodly hour.....I might as well put up the result of my first test of the new Test Year, 2017/2018.......and it's a first time pass, with only 2 minor faults, for the Queen of Heaton Chapel, Miss Giddy Knickers herself, Jade "sausage n bacon" Duncan!
1 test taken, 1 test passed, Jade's success gives us a 100% pass rate [wonder how long that'll last?? lol] and makes me OFFICIALLY the joint best Driving Instructor in the Universe....it's a bloody good job she didn't fail as I'd be OFFICIALLY the joint worst!!! WELL DONE Jadeybobs, we're all so proud of you!!!

Photos 03/04/2017

SO PROUD, and this one gets a post all of her own....Final test of the 2016/2017 Test Year and my hero, Harriet Wilkinson, ensured last years former best ever pass rate of 91.3% was beaten.....and has now become a BESTESTEST EVER 92%.....WHOOOOOH! The last of 25 tests for the year, on Monday 27th March, I've had 23 people, taking those 25 tests, 21 of whom passed with me at the 1st attempt, the other two little monkeys passed at the 2nd attempt, which is still good going these days....that also gives a 1st time pass rate of 91.3%. Now, unfortunately, one of my pupils, Jordan, took his test in a courtesy car I had, when my Corsa was in dock, and I didn't have my ADI badge in the car so, as far as I know, that test won't go into my official DVSA stats so that pass rate will possibly be downgraded to 91.6% and 90.9% respectively. Ah well, still means it beats last years and is more than 40% above to National Average.
Now then, here's a MASSIVE thanks to the other 22 pupils who contributed to that fantastic test record: Lorraine King, Sophie Oakes, Sam Vernon, Kris Lowndes, Nathan Green, Tyler Quainoo Gavan, Raffaele Pani, Jamie Cookson, Kyle Foley, Lauren Marie Bruce, Beckiiee Bailey, Frann Elizabeth, Jordan Ashton, Salman Ali, Becky Leech, Jonathan Buckingham, Áine Rodgers, George Cornwell, Emma Ridgway, Lynz Paul Goddard, Shane Lee Tomlinson, Christopher Brown!
