🐍🪳🕷️Zoolab Visit to Pre School🕷️🪳🐍

This morning, our Pre-School children had an exciting opportunity to meet some fascinating creatures from Zoolab! They enjoyed learning about many animals including; snakes🐍,cockroaches🪳, tarantulas🕷️ , and millipedes🐛, discovering where they live, what they eat, and how they survive in their natural habitats.

The children were incredibly brave and had the chance to gently touch, stroke and hold the animals, making it a great hands-on learning experience!

A huge congratulations to Amy who has recently qualified as a Level 3 Early Years Educator with a distinction!🌟

Amy has worked incredibly hard over the past 18 months, and the qualification is a true testament to her dedication and commitment to working with the children each day!

☀️📚The Tweenies have been out in the garden this morning, looking at their favourite books and making the most of the sunshine! 🌞

🦆🥚The Ducklings Have Hatched! 🥚🦆

Three of our eggs have hatched, and the ducklings are resting under the heater.

We’re keeping a close eye on them & hope they’ll be out exploring tomorrow 🤩

Today, Pre School have had a very special delivery … a tray of mysterious eggs.🥚🪺

The children have been sharing their ideas and making predictions about what might hatch.

We will be watching closely to see what’s going to happen over the next couple of days! 🤩

🐰✨Give your Dummy to the Easter Bunny ✨🐰

With Easter just around the corner, we are supporting Cheshire East’s campaign to give your dummy to the Easter Bunny!

Research shows prolonged dummy use can affect speech and language development and impact pronunciation of certain words and sounds.

If this is something you’re thinking about, this can be a great time to start a transition and join the campaign! 🌼

🔬British Science Week at First Steps🧑‍🔬👩‍🔬

This week in Pre School we have been doing a range of exciting science experiments!

🧊Sink or Float
The children tested lots of different objects and made predictions about whether they would sink to the bottom or float on the top.

🌋Erupting Volcano
We created our own mini volcano, which fizzed, bubbled and erupted!

🪥 Tooth Brushing Challenge 🦷

This week our Pre Schoolers are taking part in a Tooth Brushing Challenge.

We have been learning about;
⭐️ How to brush our teeth correctly and why it is important.
⭐️ How often we should brush our teeth.
⭐️ How long we should brush for.

Tooth brushing packs will be sent home so you can complete the challenge - Good luck Pre School! 🦷🪥
