Our fantastic Reception Class 2025–2026 have been making a splash with their learning, inspired by the beautiful story The Storm Whale.

The children have worked incredibly hard on their writing, creating their own wonderful pieces while exploring the story’s themes of friendship, kindness and caring for others. We are so proud of the progress they’ve made and the enthusiasm they’ve shown throughout this learning journey.

This amazing work is now proudly displayed for everyone to enjoy! So, if you’re passing Marple Train Station, why not dive in and take a look?

As we reach the end of another successful academic year, we are incredibly proud to share that our children have achieved exceptional outcomes across every year group.

Our children have worked tremendously hard, supported every step of the way by our dedicated staff and wonderfully supportive families. Together, this partnership has helped our children thrive.

We are delighted that our results significantly outperform the national average in:

✅ Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check (MTC)

Year 6 can too! A brilliant performance at New Mills Art Theatre and our amazing performers were more than comfortable on the big stage!

Raffle tickets on sale Thursday and Friday this week!

Year 6 at Ludworth Primary School Marple Bridge is about to perform Grossbusters as their end of school play 👻

There will be a raffle and all proceeds from the raffle will go towards their legacy project, which will be a new shelf in the library 📚

High Peak Comps has donated four prizes and some High Peak Comps goodies towards the raffle so they can reach their £150 goal 📖

Say hello to Stevie — Ludworth’s fluffiest new team member! 🐶✨
She’ll be visiting us every week as our therapy dog, spreading positivity, boosting wellbeing, and accepting belly rubs as payment.

What an afternoon for adventure. Year 6 and Year 4 had an excellent time canoeing down the canal today — sunshine, teamwork, and plenty of smiles all round. A huge well done to everyone who took part.
