To the piano teacher:
🎹 Because of you, someone will always turn to the piano when they don’t know where else to turn.
🎹 Because of you, someone will always have that person who listens.
🎹 Because of you, someone will experience the joy and thrill of performing.
🎹 Because of you, that child who struggles with their self esteem in school will always know they have a musical gift.
🎹 Because of you, someone will understand the wonder of playing just one note but with a hundred different colours.
🎹 Because of you, someone will build neurological connections that will help them learn in ways they don’t even fathom.
🎹 Because of you, someone will learn that practice and resilience are keys to success.
🎹 Because of you, a parent will cry tears of happiness when their child plays.
🎹 Because of you, someone will weave magical musical threads as they improvise.
🎹 Because of you, someone might - just might - start to believe in themself.
When you’re tired, when you’re jaded, when you feel you have no more “give”, when nobody sees the countless hours behind the scenes that you commit to making music live and breathe in your students’ hearts…. remember that YOU ARE THE DIFFERENCE.
You are more valued than you know.
