This week, the children had a fantastic time exploring colours through a range of fun, creative activities.
They used primary paints and were encouraged to mix them to create new shades. Our Preschool children recognised familiar colours and eagerly experimented, predicting what would happen when blending two colours. Their curiosity shone through as they observed the changes in the paint.
During the activity, they enjoyed chatting with their friends and the practitioner, sharing their thoughts and observations. It was delightful to see them engage with the concept of colour and support one another while exploring their creativity!

In Little Laughters this week, the excitement has been building as we get ready for the World Cup!
We started by chatting with the children about their experiences of football, asking who has played the game or watched matches on television. We then explored how teams from countries around the world come together to compete for the famous trophy.
To celebrate, the children have been busy creating their own colourful World Cup bunting to decorate the room and designing flags to wave with pride.
Out in the garden, we have been practising our football skills, from dribbling and passing to scoring goals. There has been lots of enthusiasm, teamwork, and cheering along the way. Who knows - we may even have a future star in the making!
Which team will you be supporting this World Cup โฝ๐๐

We're going on a bear hunt, we're going to catch a big one. What a beautiful day; we're not scared!
Today in Little Babblers, we wanted to explore the story of the bear hunt in an exciting way for our babies. We started by sitting and reading the story together in the morning, looking at the pictures and what areas and parts there were. We then decorated our outdoor area to represent different parts of the story.
We set up trays for a sensory walking experience, with one filled with mud, another with water, and a third with shaving foam to mimic snow. We hung green streamers for the children to weave in and out of, representing the grass they had to traverse. Additionally, we transformed a ball pit into a cave, hiding some teddy bears inside for the babies to discover. We had an amazing time exploring this area, playing with various textures and resources while bringing to life such a beloved story.
To enhance the experience, we displayed printed pictures representing different areas from the story. There were multiple bears on the wall that we could count together; the practitioner happily counted the bears with the babies, who were eager to join in with the language.
We had a fantastic time with this activity, and it was very exciting to explore it outside. Well done, Little Babblers!

During our Personal, Social and Emotional Development activity centred on healthy eating, the children had a fantastic time exploring various fruits.
We discussed how these delicious foods help us stay healthy and strong, looking at bananas, pineapples, apples, and melons. The children shared their favourite fruits with each other and our team, which encouraged great conversation. They had the chance to choose fruits for their fruit kebabs and used child-safe knives to carefully cut the soft fruit with some assistance when needed.
Our Preschool children showcased their control, independence, and hand-eye coordination as they worked diligently to cut their fruit.
Afterwards, they threaded the pieces onto sticks to create their own kebabs. It was wonderful to see them take pride in their creations and enjoy tasting the fruits, fostering a positive attitude towards healthy eating and self-care.

๐ฑ๐ณ๐ปGarden Mark- Making Fun!๐ป๐ณ๐ฑ
Our children under 2 had a fantastic time exploring various mark-making activities in the garden last week! When the rain came, we moved into our baby garden to continue the fun.
They enjoyed playing with bubbles on the tuff tray, creating patterns with their hands and fingers. Using paintbrushes and water, they followed chalk patterns, which really helped their hand-eye coordination and early writing skills. Creating marks in the bubbles encouraged sensory exploration and creativity. These activities boost fine motor skills, concentration, and confidence. The children were so engaged and curious, delighting in the different materials and textures outside. What a wonderful way to learn through play!
Well done, Little Gigglers! ๐ฑ๐ณ๐ป

Last week in Little Laughters, we continued to support the childrenโs Personal, Social and Emotional Development by exploring their sense of self and celebrating what makes each child unique. Through a range of engaging activities, the children have been identifying both their differences and the similarities they share with others.
Using a variety of visual flashcards, the children worked together to group themselves based on shared characteristics, such as hair type and colour. This activity encouraged positive discussions around individuality, inclusion, and belonging, while helping the children to recognise and appreciate the diversity within their peer group.

๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐Last month in Little Gigglers, we had a wonderful time celebrating World Bee Day in our garden with a fun activity: making a delicious Mud Splat Cake!๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐
๐The children were thrilled to participate in this engaging and messy experience. They had a fantastic chance to learn about Bees, demonstrating excellent listening skills during the story time and enjoying the beautiful pictures shared by our practitioner.
It was delightful to see them manipulating the mud, mixing it with water, and adding it to the trays while naming the colours they used, such as yellow for leaves and black for mud. All the Little Gigglers were actively involved, making it a truly delightful experience for everyone. After our baking session, the children eagerly set out on a mission to find Bees buzzing around our lovely flowers.
๐ Well done, Little Gigglers! We can't wait for more special events as the weather gets warmer, allowing us to spend more time outdoors together.๐๐ฟ๐ผ

This week in Little Laughters, we were delighted to celebrate Global Day of Parents by welcoming one of our wonderful parents into the setting.
He very kindly shared his musical talent with the children by bringing in his guitar and leading a lovely circle time. The children were so excited to join in, singing along with Liam as he played, and exploring a range of different musical instruments together.
Liam also kindly allowed the children to take a closer look at his guitar and even have a gentle try at playing it themselves, which they absolutely loved!
Through this special experience, the children were able to build on their Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language, and Literacy skills. They enjoyed taking turns with instruments, listening carefully, and joining in with familiar songs and rhymes, filling in missing words and phrases with growing confidence.
It was a joyful and engaging session that the children truly enjoyed, and we are very grateful to Liam for sharing his time and talent with us.

This week, our children have been exploring "all about me" through creating self-portraits.
As they carefully looked at their features, chose colours, and talked about what makes them unique, they were developing much more than artistic skills. Activities like self-portraits help support childrenโs Personal, Social and Emotional Development by encouraging self-awareness, confidence, identity, and positive self-expression. The children loved sharing what they noticed about themselves and celebrating the similarities and differences between their friends.
We are so proud of the creativity, conversations, and confidence shown throughout this activity!
