The Spring holidays are over and we are BACK at our fantastic after school clubs at St Mark's Primary School in Woodley, Woodley Primary School in Woodley, Alexandra Park Primary School in Edgely, and All Saints Primary School in Marple.
Here's what Cam has to say about last term:
"Since taking over from the wonderful Rivkah just after Christmas, we have been working on lots of exciting things at All Saints Primary in Marple. In the lead up to February Half Term, I gradually introduced key dramatic features/techniques and put them into practise through various fun activities and challenges. In the four weeks in the run up to Easter, the children put these techniques to good use by working INCREDIBLY hard to create their own performances that had to relate to the theme of Easter. These were overseen by myself but were conceptualised, written and directed by the groups themselves. They were all wonderfully unique and loved by parents and staff alike. I'm so glad to be back and starting preparations on our Summer show!"

๐Alongside our exciting World Book Week sessions we've been running this week, we have also been up to some other exciting book-themed bits and bobs!
๐Some of our after school clubs have been exploring storytelling as a part of their weekly sessions, this week focusing on the classic 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt'.๐ป
๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญAlso, lots of our practitioners have been involved with the youth theatre production of 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. The youth theatre drama members have been working on this production for just 5 weeks, and it has been really special to see young performers stepping into the spotlight, some of them for the first time!๐ญ

WOW! What a fantastic WORLD BOOK DAY the team has had today at .primary.school๐
With reception and nursery, we did one of our lovely Storyworld sessions. We read through 'The Gruffalo' by Julia Donaldson, where the children immersed themselves in the story, pretending to be the forest and the animals within the tale.๐ญ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐
Years 1 to 6 then took part in 'The Great Book Jump', where we explored themes and morals of some different books that have been turned into both films, and stage productions๐๐ฌ๐ญ
What a lovely way to not only have the children immerse themselves in the world of books, but also explore feelings, imagination and deeper exploration!
We look forward to visiting Torkington Primary School next week and bringing them some more wonderful World Book Week sessions!

Following a wonderful end to 2025 and some festive fun with our brilliant pantomime tour and also completing some more amazing projects for the NSPCC..... a couple of members of our Outreach team had very some exciting moments of their own......
Whilst the team was on a much deserved Christmas break.... Emma was away on tour with the fabulous Lamps, Rivkah gave birth to a beautiful baby boy and Head of Outreach Dawn became Mrs Rogers getting married just after Christmas!
It has been an exciting time for the team both professionally and personally and we can't wait to get stuck in to 2026 and bring even more wonderful projects and performances to schools and communities in Stockport and beyond!

Now that we've completed our final performance of Rapunzel, that's it, 2025's Outreach Programme, over and done with!โจ๏ธ๐ญ
We've had a fantastic week performing at Castle Hill High School, All Saints Primary School and Stockport Grammar Junior School. The singing along has burst our ears in the best way possible. Thank you to all of the children for helping Fairy Twinkle and the gang to save Rapunzel from the wicked Mother Grovel, and a special thank you to Dame Delilah's fabulous models (the teachers who were volunteered by the children and other members of staff for some much loved audience participation).
I wonder what pantoland next year will bring us!๐๐

That's a wrap on our after school clubs for 2025! All of our children have put on fantastic festive performances for their grown ups, and each of the children has grown in confindence since Spetember. From those who asked for lots of lines, to those who were super nervous but got on the stage anyway, Maisie, Rivkah, Amy and Cam are incredibly proud of every child they've worked with this year.๐ฅฐ
Big thank you to Alexandra Park Primary School, Woodley Primary School, St Mark's Primary School and All Saints Primary School for having us this term!

We had a wonderful time bringing all the panto magic to the children who were all fabulous audiences! We can't wait to visit some more schools next week.

What a fab first session back for Maisie at Alexandra Park Primary School in Edgely. The KS1 class worked on their miming skills and pretending to be different animals, as well as pretending that the room was different places, who knew a school hall could become 'candy land'!?
