As we stroll into Summer, we have our final update from Cam who has also been working hard at our *After School Drama Clubs*
Huge thank you to all the schools who have welcomed us through the doors!
Looking forward to connecting with two more schools next term!
Read below what Cam got up to:
"It has certainly been an exciting summer term at St Marks and All Saints! We have spent the past 6-7 weeks working on our summer productions, performing them to fellow students and parents this week.
At St Marks in Bredbury, the children utilised all the skills they had been taught by myself in the short space of time I’ve had with them, and created their own short scenes based around the theme of summer. All scripts, stage directions and music cues were decided by them. This provided varying results - ranging from a family whose visit to the beach results in someone going missing, to a hot dog salesman realising she’s got no stock to sell ahead of a busy day! They worked really hard and the performances showed.
At All Saints in Marple, they performed a show called “Changes”. It centred on 6 friends in primary school on their last day, unsure of what their future holds. It explored the different forms of change people can experience, and that not all of them are negative. The script wasn’t easy and deals with difficult topics, but I knew the children could do it. And they did, brilliantly. It was a funny and emotional show, meaning even more to the Year 6 students who will be moving on in September. I want to give a special shoutout to those who are leaving us, and I wish you the best of luck!
