Many children find times tables challenging, but with the right approach they can become much more confident.
I believe children learn best through practical activities, games, patterns, arrays and spotting numbers when you’re out and about.
Most importantly with encouragement—not pressure.
Every child learns at their own pace, and building confidence is just as important as getting the right answer.☺️

For me, it’s simple, children learn best through connection.
Sitting alongside a child allows me to build trust, notice the little things that a screen can miss, and adapt my teaching in the moment. I can celebrate their successes, reassure them when they find something difficult, and provide the encouragement that helps confidence grow.
Learning isn’t just about reading, writing and maths. It’s about feeling safe, understood and believing, “I can do this.”☺️
