Pizza-Making Fun for Our Toddlers! 🍕
Today, our toddlers had a wonderful time making their very own mini pizzas. They carefully used spoons to spread tomato purée onto crumpets before sprinkling on cheese and a pinch of oregano.
This fun activity helped to develop their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and independence while encouraging them to explore different textures and ingredients.
Once their pizzas were ready, we sat down together to enjoy them as a tasty snack. The children were incredibly proud of their creations and were excited to taste the pizzas they had made all by themselves. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they shared and enjoyed the results of their hard work! 🍕💖

This week, our Tweenies had a wonderful time celebrating VE Day! The children took part in a variety of exciting activities, enjoying lots of singing and dancing together. They explored the colours of the English flag and developed their fine motor skills by sprinkling shredded paper and colouring flags with pens. The children also enjoyed a lovely British tea party, where they cared for and fed their baby dolls while listening to traditional British music. We ended the day with even more singing, dancing, and lots of smiles!
Our Prep School children have been fascinated watching our tadpoles grow over the past couple of months. They have helped to care for them by changing the water using clean rainwater and feeding them boiled lettuce, which the tadpoles love! The children understand the importance of being gentle and quiet while caring for them so they do not get scared. They are very excited to continue observing the tadpoles’ journey and cannot wait to see them develop into froglets.

This week, our preschool children enjoyed a very special visit to a local care home, where they spent time with the residents sharing stories, songs and smiles. The children had lots of fun reading The Gruffalo together, bringing the story to life with great enthusiasm.
They also sang a selection of their favourite nursery rhymes, which everyone joined in with, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere. To finish their visit, the children and residents played some simple games together, encouraging laughter, interaction and new friendships.
As part of the experience, the children travelled by public transport, which they absolutely loved and found very exciting, adding an extra sense of adventure to their day.
It was a truly meaningful experience for both the children and the residents, helping to build confidence, communication skills and a sense of community. We are so proud of how kind, gentle and engaged the children were throughout the visit. Cheadle Grange Care Home

This week, our babies have been exploring food through sensory play, using edible paint made from dairy-free yoghurt mixed with food colouring. They used clean paintbrushes and rollers to create a variety of marks on paper, enjoying the freedom to explore and experiment.
The babies also had the opportunity to taste the yoghurt, engaging their senses and experiencing a range of textures through hands-on, whole-body play.

This week, our preschoolers have thoroughly enjoyed exploring letters, with a focus on recognising those in their own names and the names of their friends. We have been developing our fine motor skills through engaging finger painting activities, carefully forming the letters that are meaningful to us.
We have also been using alphabet visuals to support and extend our learning, encouraging the children to think of and share other words that begin with the same letters.
