If your child was born between 1st September 2022 and 31st August 2023, it's time to start thinking about their Reception place for September 2027.

📅 Application deadline: 15 January 2027
📅 National Offer Day: 16 April 2027

Parents living in Stockport must submit their application through Stockport Council, even if applying for schools in other local authority areas.

✅ You can list up to 6 school preferences.
✅ Applying for your catchment school may improve your chances of securing a place.

This morning our toddlers went for a walk to the local park. On the way to the park the children saw a bus, and they heard a train. One of the children said 'choo, choo'

The children also saw some animals on the route, a squirrel, ducks and a spider. On their return one of the children said 'See a duck'

⚽️ Tuesdays the children have footy tots with Chris

One week it’s pre schools turn and the next toddlers

This week our new toddlers (and a few pre schoolers) had fun scoring lots of goals, playing games and doing AMAZING listening. We are every proud of our children

🏫 Pre school have loved being back at nursery these past 2 weeks!

They have been learning all about emotions, talking about how they feel and discussing what those feelings mean.

They’ve made faces in the playdough using different materials. And at group time they tell their peers how they are feeling today. We’ve also been looking at the colour monster and using pens and paints to decorate our own picture.

Our new welcome board is helping children recognise their names. And then the children choose if they’d like a high five, fist bump, shake hands, wave or have a cuddle with their teacher. This is a lovely way to start our day 😁

👩🏼‍🌾 This week toddlers are exploring “old McDonald had a farm”

We have explored lots of activities together;
- a farm sensory tray
- feeding the animals porridge oats using spoons
- singing old McDonald
- exploring the animal puppets
- farm animal jigsaws
- gluing and sticking sheep pictures
- exploring a pigsty sensory tray

These activities support children’s curiosity as they play and explore. The staff support by naming the animals and role modelling language.

✅ That’s week 1 of the new school year complete! We’ve loved seeing everyone back at nursery, the children have been very busy exploring. Please check classdojo for this weeks photos 📸

Some reminders;
- children attending all day AND children attending afternoon sessions, need to bring a packed lunch.
- please label EVERYTHING, water bottle, lunch boxes, bags, coats, clothing etc
- morning session is 8:45-11:45, we cannot open the door any earlier than this as we are not insured to have children on site
- afternoon session is 12-3, we will open the door at 12oclock to welcome the children for their session. Before this time we are preparing the children that attend full day for lunch by washing hands and getting sat at the table
- we encourage offering water only in your child’s water bottle. If you want to use juice please make sure it is sugar free and weakly diluted
- lunch boxes have been good this week, a reminder to pack healthy snack eg sandwiches, chicken bites, baby bel, yoghurt, fruit or veg sticks.
- if your child wears nappies, please pack nappies and wipes so we can change them throughout the day
- session ends at 3pm, please make sure you collect your child before this time

👋🏽 Welcome to our toddler room 👋🏽

We are excited to meet our new children today. Reminder to those starting in September, stay and play 10am til 11am. Please stay with your little ones throughout the play session and explore the toddler room with them.

Just over a week to go before we open again!

Our registers for September are FULL. But our registers for January are now open, we have space for children that will be aged 2 years old. If your child is turning 2 in September, October, November or December, and you’re looking for a nursery place, feel free to get in touch.

Nursery hours are 8:45am until 3pm
Mornings,afternoons or full day sessions available. 2 year old funding welcome, or paid sessions are also on offer.
