🦷✨ Supervised toothbrushing at Tiny Turtles✨🦷

We are incredibly proud to share that Tiny Turtles has been selected as one of only a handful of nurseries in Stockport to take part in a new supervised toothbrushing programme sponsored by the local council!

This fantastic initiative will help our children develop healthy brushing habits from an early age, supporting brighter smiles and healthier futures. Our team will be helping children learn the importance of good oral hygiene through fun, daily toothbrushing activities.

🦷 Around 1 in 5 five-year-olds in England has tooth decay.
🦷 Tooth decay remains one of the leading causes of hospital admissions for children aged 5–9 years in England.
🦷 Almost 9 out of 10 hospital tooth extractions in children aged 0–5 are caused by preventable tooth decay.
🦷 Good brushing habits established in the early years can help prevent pain, infections, sleep disruption and missed days at nursery and school.

At Tiny Turtles, we're passionate about giving children the best start in life, and this new programme is another exciting way we're supporting their health and wellbeing.

It’s only Tuesday and what a colourful week we’ve had already in our baby room 🌈✨

From our colourful Stay and Play session with our amazing parents, to exploring all things orange during our “Orange Day”, right through to a wonderfully messy muddy piggy themed café experience, the children have had so much fun learning, creating and exploring together! 🧡🐷
We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week brings! 😊

🌿🐄 What a wonderful day we’ve had at nursery today! 🐑🌞

Our Baby Room enjoyed a very exciting trip to Green House Farm today, joined by some of our amazing parents and carers! The children had so much fun meeting the farm animals, exploring the park, and enjoying a lovely picnic with their friends in the sunshine. 🧺🐐💚

Back at nursery, our Toddler Room hosted their very own farm themed Stay and Play session! From running a busy little farm shop 🥕🌽 to planting seeds in beautifully decorated plant pots made by the children, there were smiles everywhere. The children also loved getting creative with farm themed play dough activities! 🌱🎨🐷

Days like today are so special and help create wonderful memories, encourage learning through play, and strengthen our nursery community. A huge thank you to all the parents who joined us and supported today’s activities, we loved sharing these moments with you! 💛

🐝✨ Buzzing with Creativity! ✨🐝

Our Preschool has been full of little busy bees lately as the children have been learning all about bumblebees and their importance 💛

To continue the fun at home, the children took part in a very special family competition creating their very own bumblebee crafts! 🖤💛

Wow… we were blown away by the incredible creativity 🐝From fluffy bees to colourful masterpieces, every single craft was unique, thoughtful, and absolutely bee-autiful! 🐝🌼
A huge thank you to all of our amazing families for joining in and helping make this activity so special. We loved seeing the children so proud to share their wonderful creations with their friends! ✨

🌞 What a wonderful, sun filled Wednesday at Tiny Turtles 🌱✨
Our toddlers have been busy exploring our amazing new greenhouse, getting hands on with nature as we planted a variety of healthy foods including potatoes, green beans, carrots, raspberries, blueberries, and even our very own apple tree 🍎🌿 Watching their excitement grow alongside their plants has been so special. They’ve been learning all about where our food comes from and discovering that healthy habits can be fun, especially when it involves watering and caring for their fruits and veggies 🥕

Meanwhile, our babies enjoyed the cutest animal themed tea party 🐻🍓 They had the chance to taste different fruits and create fun little meals for their furry friends. Lots of smiles, exploration, and messy play all around!

Our preschool children turned into little scientists today with a “hungry caterpillar” activity 🐛🍃 They loved watching their caterpillars grow bigger and bigger as they fed them, learning all about growth and change in such an engaging way.

What an amazing Wednesday full of learning, laughter, and sunshine! ☀️💚
