🌍🦁 Habitats 🐠🌿

Today our toddlers and preschool children have been exploring the wonderful world of animal habitats! 🐾

We travelled to the safari, discovering where animals such as lions, elephants, giraffes and zebras live. The children enjoyed talking about the different animals, what noise they make, what they might eat, and how their habitats help them survive. 🦒🐘🦁

We also took a trip under the water 🌊🐟, exploring the fascinating creatures that live in our oceans and rivers. We talked about fish, sea creatures and the importance of water as a habitat.

Through lots of hands-on exploration, discussion and imaginative play, the children have been developing their understanding of the world around them while having lots of fun! 🌎💚

Tuesday was International Day of Democracy, so we spent lots of time in Pre-school talking about our views and opinions and listening to those of our friends.

The children had lots of say over how their day went and voted for various activities, as well as reflecting on our most important class rules and sharing with each other their favourite things such as colours and animals.

In the afternoon, they wanted to put on a dance show and took turns being in the show and in the audience. They all did some wonderful listening to each other today and made me very proud.

Democracy isn't just something that happens once a year- it's something we practice every single day when we listen, respect one another and work together towards a better world. Well done Pre-school.🌟

🎨Our toddlers have been busy developing their fine motor skills🖌

Using paint and cotton wool, they carefully followed the lines, strengthening their hand-eye coordination, concentration and control while getting creative
