A polite reminder that we are closed next week for our Summer break, we will reopen on Tuesday 1st September after the bank holiday.

Our latest OFSTED report is now live!

We are absolutely delighted to share our latest Ofsted report with you. We are incredibly proud of the outcome, with 3 areas rated as Strong Standard and 3 areas as Expected Standard, alongside Safeguarding being securely met.

For anyone who is unfamiliar with the new Ofsted inspection and grading system, inspections are now no longer given one overall grade. Instead, inspectors make separate judgements across the different areas of the inspection framework.

We are especially proud that three areas were recognised as Strong, while continuing to securely meet the expected standards across the other areas. This reflects the hard work, dedication and care of our whole team, as well as the wonderful relationships we have with our children and families.

A huge thank you to our incredible staff team for everything they do every single day. And, of course, thank you to all of our families for your continued support and trust in us.

Today we celebrated our Norris Room Graduation!Thank you to all those that celebrated with us and have trusted us with your child’s learning journey over the years. It’s very bitter sweet as we will be sad to see them go, but they are all so excited and more than ready for their next adventure.

They sang their hearts out today and put on a great performance and I’m sure you’re all as proud as we are.

We wish them every success in this wonderful new chapter and will miss them all very much. They will always be part of The Heaton's family, Class of 2026, you have all been fabulous!

Over the last few weeks we have been patiently waiting for our vegetables to be ready to harvest. Ian from Sustainable Living in The Heatons helped us collect our vegetables and showed us the correct process to do this. The children took turns, carefully pulling the radish plants out from the soil. They were very pleased to see their radish and lettuce leaves fully grown.

The children then enjoyed tasting the radish, whilst beaming with pride that they have grown these vegetables themselves!

As our current vegetables have all been harvested, we have now planted some potatoes. The children have learnt that vegetable seeds need lots of sunlight and water to grow and we can't wait to see how they turn out!

This week we have enjoyed introducing, and learning all about The World Cup. We have explored activities around football, flags and teamwork.

The younger children have enjoyed scoring goals using big gross motor movements, whilst the older children have been keen to explore different countries by looking at flags and patterns and understanding the concept of a competition.

The children are feeling optimistic about Englands participation and believe we are set to be “winners”

We’ve all been there – digging out that half empty bottle of sunscreen from the back of the cupboard! ☀️☀️☀️

⭐️ It's worth checking the symbol on the back of the bottle, the number reflects how long to continue using the cream from the moment it's opened, which in this case is 12 months (12M), after this period the cream will not be as effective.

💡TIP - It's a good idea to use a Sharpie to write the date you opened a bottle on the back to keep yourself safe.

One of our parents is hosting a fundraising event this Saturday, 30th May, to raise funds for Coppafeel, a great charity that raises awareness for breast cancer.

If you can, they would love for anyone to show their support whether this is donating to the fundraising page or going along to the event below. There are lots of exciting activities going on there such as an acapella swing and pop choir, a bake sale and a raffle.

To support raising funds, they are also taking part in a 5 day trek along the Jurassic Coast, covering around 100km, so any donations big or small would be greatly appreciated!
