🌟Can you help us ? 🌟
Our garden here at Acrewood is large and spacious with a lot of natural and different landscaping, we are always looking for ways to make the most out of each space we have. Over time our wooden items often become weather damaged and we need to replace these, some of these items are things we cannot buy and need the help of our community to source. We would gratefully appreciate any help to find these items for our garden.
*Wooden cable drums (particularly large ones)
*Wooden pallets
*Spare wood (fence slats etc)
*Wooden logs, log slices or off cuts from trees.
*Unwanted/not needed plants, flowers, shrubs, trees etc (maybe you bought too much for your own garden ? We would love to give them an environment to grow).
If you think you can help please do get in contact with us we would be extremely grateful ☺️

We are so proud of our young sponsored footballer Lacey who along with her Wallace High School team won the Senior Shield at Hampden last night to secure their 3rd consecutive win. We currently sponsor Lacey in her position with Falkirk FC but equally support her acieivements with Wallace High School and are proud and excited to see such high achievement and promise for young Stirling athletes.
This morning Lacey came to show us her medal from last nights final and brought along some of her previous medals too.
After spending some time with us a couple of weeks ago doing some football training the children were thrilled to get to see and wear the medals that Lacey has won.
Our community links and partnerships are so important to us and add incredible value to our children’s experiences.
Well done to Lacey and team Wallace and thank you all for inspiring us!

It was so nice to spend some time with our rainbow friends petting all the animals last week.
Thank you to Roselea for inviting us along. We think we will need to invite our new furry friends to the nursery soon!

To all of our families who helped us to provide gifts to all of our new friends at Roselea care home at Christmas, thank you from both Acrewood and Roselea.
The beautiful cards are displayed in our hallway if you want to stop to have a look.
Our partnership with Roselea is continuing to grow and we are loving every moment of it. Keep an eye out for future updates of all of the fun we have been having!

As part of our community partnerships we are always excited to have opportunities to support and link with those outside of our little nursery.
We are proud to sponsor Lacey, a young local footballer who has been a part of the extended Acrewood family for over 10 years.
We wish Lacey all the best for the season ahead and hope to see her in for a visit soon.
🎉 Sponsorship News Keeps Coming! 🎉
We’re excited to announce that our number 12, Lacey Hilson, has secured sponsorship for the new season ⚽️
Lacey is proudly sponsored by Acrewood Nursery, and we’re absolutely delighted to have their fantastic support behind both Lacey and the squad this year. Support from local businesses like this plays a huge part in helping the team grow, develop, and compete throughout the season.
A big thank you to Acrewood Nursery for getting behind the team—we really appreciate your backing and look forward to the season ahead together!

Today at Acrewood we had some special visitors who came to share some of their passion for music. The children had the opportunity to learn about different instruments and how to use them to create a beat and sign songs.
The children were very interested and excited by our visitors and later continued to use what they had learned by finding things around the room that they could use to make noise, the wooden blocks were popular to hit together as they sang jingle bells.
Our visitors are going to be joining us again over the next few weeks to continue sharing their knowledge and creativity with our children.
We have a selection of small insuruments in nursery but as our children have displayed a keen interest in new and unusual instruments we are quickly looking to source some new ones for our children.
If you or anyone you know is having a clear out over the weekend for Christmas we would greatly appreciate if you would kindly consider donating these to the nursery in particular we are looking for
Guitar
Drums
Beaters
Xylophone
But would appreciate any instruments at all.
The children have also been discussing other things that makes noise so if you are clearing out
Pots
Pans
Metal/wooden spoons
We would appreciate these to.

Acrewood’s festive family fun day will be taking place on Saturday the 30th of November. 🎄🎅🏼
We are kindly seeking donations to use in our raffle (chocolates, hampers, drink, gift vouchers, new/unused gift sets etc).
We work in partnership with many small businesses around Stirling and would be grateful if anyone knows/is a small business that would also be willing to donate something towards our raffle.
Please share our post to help 🥰🎄🎅🏼

Hello! The Holly room staff are in the process of making their own busy board for our learners, this can give our children lots of opportunities to develop their fine motor skills as well as a variety of sensory play opportunities.
We are looking to source some resources for this that anyone may have lying around that they no longer have any use for as well as any donations of wooden panels that can be used as the base for this. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!🥰

We are looking (hoping) to source some resource donations from local businesses and trades. I would really appreciate anyone with any contacts who could help us to source the following:
Plumber: Piping (ideally cut offs that are clean and undamaged, can be full or half pipes and connectors and bends)
Electrician: Cable reels of all sizes
Tree surgeon: stumps and logs that can be used to make simple stools, tables or logs to use for partitioning in the garden or that can be quickly sawn to make simple benches and seating areas.
Garage/mechanic: old tyres
Anyone: wooden pallets that are in good condition.
These resources can be very hard to get our hands on but are so very valuable to our setting when we can have them donated.
Please share or tag people/pages/companies below who you think could help us.

This week the Holly room have had lots of fun!
With visits to the park, some painting with sponges , loose parts play with some cardboard boxes which we used to play cars with and a visit from the tooth fairy! We got to practice our teeth brushing skills and build our learning of why toothbrushing is so important 🪥😁
