20 years of Stirling Community Enterprise!

Great to see the work of SCE featured in The Courier this week. We’re incredibly proud of the work we do and, most importantly, of the team of people who make it possible.

It’s difficult to sum up what we do, because no two people who come through our doors need the same thing. Sometimes progress is employment or training, but sometimes it’s having the confidence to leave the house, attend an appointment, learn new skills, sort out housing or finances, or simply having someone in your corner who believes things can get better.

We get to know the people we support, we celebrate their successes with them and, when things don’t go well, we feel that too. That’s the reality of the work we do and why relationships are such an important part of the support we provide.

Around 300 individuals and families are supported by SCE every year, and after 20 years the need for flexible, person-centred support isn’t going away.

At a time when third sector organisations are facing increasingly tight funding while the need for the support they provide continues to grow, it’s more important than ever to recognise the value of services like ours and the difference they make in people’s lives.

We’re proud of our team, proud of the people we support and proud to have been part of the Stirling community for the past 20 years.
